OK so here the store I am doing. It has 5 sections of the kind of windows in pictures. Meaning there are 5 of those to be done. Then the other photo is the door area. Which this is the only one. It is similar to the others but its just split down the middle to create a door.
Any Help would be appreciated. They want exterior and interior done but not both everytime. The normal for around here would be like $10-15 for one or maybe 2 of those panels but Im still new with Store Fronts
Doug’s got a good point on this one. Commercial route work is loaded with bottom feeders. If you can get $40.00 to $50.00 per clean (should take you about 20 mins. to do) then take it. But only you know what your time is worth.
They look well maintained. Essentially six sets of those (the entryway is practically equal to the fixed sets)?
I’d bid it at about $12/set = $60 In and Out, but if you really want the job, or are fairly fast you can get away with $45 per service. I recommend to the customer that the Outs get done at least every 4 weeks, and offer a discount if they want it more often (possibly the difference between the $60 and $45?) and the inside about every 3 months, or as needed.
My Outs are 2/3 of my total, but I always do the doors inside and offer to touch up kiddie fingerprints and such.
So, if you go with $60 I/O, it would be $40 O/O +Doors in.
or
$45 I/O, $30 O/O +Doors in.
With so much competition in storefront, little things like extra freebies (the doors and touchups in), customer service, and quality matter that much more.
Oops. Sorry, I missed the point about the other 5 sections. Legacy has it about right if you really want it. The nice thing about route work (if you can get one that’s worth it) is that once you get it dialed in the maintenance is really easy and can be profitable if you work it right.
Were all window cleaners! The only bottom feeders are LOW-BALLERS! I have steady work with my commercial route, while the residential HOGS are starving when its too cold or raining! whats up with calling your peers bottom feeders?
Why call resi guys hogs? I do resi because those customers are more likely to be loyal and not price shoppers. When resi guys get to a certain point they can take a few months off and enjoy the benefits of finding quality customers.
Yeah that’s what I meant. Low ballers. Poor choice of words on my part. As a matter of fact 70% of my revenue is from commercial route work. Larry can read my mind so if i’m unclear just ask Larry to explain.
