Hey all how is everyone here i am new too the site
mike here
I have been doing rope work for 30 years and make about 100 per man hour at it. Am I out of the loop on ground work or is this not a good living?
I run a team of high rise. My advantage is i work for a core certified company and train my crews in all aspects of the job. Being a certifeid instructor in all aspects or as the new term is going to be is a “Rope Access Tec”. Gives me a major advantage in Quoteing. so some of us high rise people are still around
Hello every one. I have been doing mid rise rope access work for 18+ years. I have worked for Brite-Way Services in Wisconsin on and off most of my life. Last fall I have finally formed my own co., Green Window Cleaning Services, LLC. I am currently doing some sub contracting from other local companies, and picking some work on my own. I would be happy to discuss subbing for others, if the interest is out there. I have also done quite a few self rescue demos for the IWCA hands on safety training. I have been SPRAT certified, and am currently IRATA certified. I would like to know if anyone would have any interest in having me train them or their employees, or just sub the work for them. I also know of another gentleman who would be willing to get involved with training the management or operations manager in the proper way to write a job safety/work plan, and the proper signatures to get from the property management. please feel free to contact me personally with any questions you may have.

Great thread here!! You can get alot of useful info off of here. But yea, this high rise section doesn’t seem to get enough views/comments as the other sections do!
We are hiring now!

they do. i worked for three of them. started my own thing and two of the companies want to sub me high rise. i make about 35% more on a 2 story home than i do on a 18 story condo. i i’m very fast on rigging and cleaning…just not worth it.
not lots of traffic here. (last response in june)
im dave, i do lots of high rise work all kinds.
but i would say of all the work i do high rise is about 40%
i’d say its my specialty cause i like the best and for me here in n.y. it pays the best, almost $50./hr.
surprisingly i dont know too many people in my circles that do it.
thats a great photo
is that you doing 3 piece stick work from a chair??!!

Your photo is pretty cool too, Dave.
Last time I did belt-work I was probably a teenager.

Yes, I was using a short pole aka 6/12 pole to clean them windows. Easier that way than swinging in with a suction cup.
