She was quite good looking. I may have only seen her from behind at the point I sent that text. But upon her leaving and passing me at my desk, my suspicions were confirmed. Very nice!! I believe attractiveness helps in sales. Take me for instance, I’m adorable (at least my mom tells me I am and she knows everything).
Oh my god.
The better question is “Who has DONE that?”
No guts, no glory.
Thats fantastic! That is what it takes to make the sale. Plus, not only will you get the job, but, if you’re single (like me) some of your customers may want to hook you up with thier grand daughter, daughter, niece etc. Be careful though…it may lose you a customer if it ends on a bad note and bad word of mouth can ruin a business. Choose wisely!
Chris probably hired the salesman for his company because he was a good looking guy. Dont lie Chris:D
Now that he’s been working for you chris, Is he landing any accounts besides his moms house?
Actually is residential this might be ok. In commercial world being attractive can be a down fall for you in some situations and the sales person has to recognize this. Working in office with other females can get a sales person black balled. Women tend to size other women up fast, if they have other male counter parts in the hen house they react strange about over attractive females fast.
My sales persons dress down, we actually require them to only wear polo shirts with Black Slacks unless its a special promo day and we have a theme.
No cleveland ever is a motto except around my desk then its required. LOL Just keep it professional and always hire attractive sales people, knock outs are not needed in my opinion. Over the top and people get distracted to what the purpose is.
Of course we all want to look at beautiful people.
Yeah one of those hooked me into a deal. But I was looking to go into a phonebook anyway. She hooked me up with a really good deal too.
If your looking to hire someone attractive I might be available during the winter months.
I’m a solid 8, approaching a 9, but I had a perfect, hard 10 female attempt to do some selling for me last year. I mean former beauty pageant queen.
My conclusion… it didn’t work!
Why, you ask?
We’re window cleaners… we sell schmook removal. If the T-Mobile girl (my future ex-wife) came and tried to sell you landscaping service, would you have any reservations about why this beautiful creature wants to mow your lawn? When things don’t “fit”, they’ll fall apart.
Besides, why pay someone when my million dollar smile lands any job I want?
It’s a curse I know the feeling lol. Smiling actually does go a long way. I dont think it’s about your looks, it is about approachability, conversation, and relation. I spent an hour talking to a couple about my experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan. Granted an hour is a long time, I would say it’s worth a $500 resi job. Half the time it’s not about the service you provide or the price, it’s about you or your companies relation with the customer.
I’m the first to acknowledge that it sounds crazy to think that physical attractiveness could be responsible for a business advantage.
But it’s true.
Not reasonable. Not logical. And not fair.*
But true.

I’m a ten-- just like Bobby Bare.
I eat lots of Grey Poupon…
Well if your over weight, and dont take care of yourself then yea of course that can come into play. Some people draw a direct correlation from the way you take care of yourself to the way that you will treat they’re property. I would not hire on a guy that is 5’7 325lbs regardless of how good of a window cleaner he is. It would not fit the companies image. But I believe beyond that, you dont have to have a perfect face to close a deal. I dont know though, you know much more on this subject than I do, and this is personal experience through the year I have been in business. Either way I dont have to worry, I was a 9 or 10 on hotornot The things we do in Afghanistan
i think attractiveness helps whether youre male or female, but I think you need a good personality to go with it, then youve got a winning combination. Appearance and first impressions can make or break you i think.
