Holiday paint... clean WITHOUT removing?

Hey, it’s my first winter season… Can you wash right over the top of windows with seasonal paint on them? Every post I can find is about how to take it off, but its not time to remove yet. So is there anything special about how to clean the windows without causing harm or removing any of the paint? Can you soap and squeegee right over the top? Do you have to try to work around it?

Sorry if this seems like an obvious thing… I just don’t want to end up with customers saying that it’s smeared or anything.

if they used window paint that doesn’t solidify , no, it’ll smear immediately.

If they add glue into the window paint, or the window paint already contains a solidifier then yes.

Some use house hold paint, and that can also smear if not fully hardened (60 days).

Typically I avoid the paint, and inform my clients.

Indoor latex is great for removal and cleaning. Same chem that is in Elmers glue. I will still soap around the paint and carry it with the squeegee. If the wrong paint has been used it will bubble and strip or turn into a mess. Turning your applicator colors too.
