Hey everyone, so these two hotels just went up over here. And I have a real desire to jump on it! However in regards pricing these out, I haven’t got the slightest clue. I know there are many different opinions but I’m anxious to hear em, as well as any work tips for doing big jobs like this. In addition to that, how would you go about this sales pitch?
These lookl ike the typeof sliders where your have to take the right window in to clean it because the screens dont come out from the outside. So you may need access to each room to do the job, And that could be complicated and time consuming. Check this in the lobby maybe bfore giving a price on it
I’m not familiar with the area you are from. But around me hotels are mainly done in house by housekeepers or maintenance crews. I have inquired at Holiday inn express (5 stories) Hampton inn (3 stories)
And other local hotels. None of them were interested in outside company doing the glass. I would go in and ask to talk to maintenance supervisor and find out if they are even looking to have someone clean the glass and then go from there.

people staying in hotels dont care about clean windows, they may look out to check on a vehicle but if the window is dirty, they dont care because they are only staying a night or two. The lobby windows will need to be cleaned because thats a “first impression” area and they want to make a good first impression
A lot of times they just want the exteriors cleaned because like Thruglass says they have in house that does it ,an its an accesability issue also. Screens are something to think about also when pricing like josh says sometimes they don’t come out,an if they do consider that with your pricing . Let them know it will be cheaper if you have the screens removed for me
They’re pretty heavy yeah you got it eat your Wheaties don’t forget a dropcloth could have to flip it around and put it down on the floor
I have a through screen cleaning method that works sometimes not all the time it depends on the type of dirt and the length of time since the last clean it doesn’t do much sills but it’s pretty effective sometimes
If they’re more concerned about cost rather than perfection this is a pretty good way to offer them a low-cost low-cost cleaning would save you a lot of aggravation two would have to come in the building
I’ve seen the results of this be perfect close to perfect pretty good and crappy it depends on the situation show the results of it to the person doing the paying and see if that’s acceptable
That building looks like about 2 1/2 or three of some of the bigger houses I do

I’ve had good luck with hotels. They’re great money and easy jobs. They’re probably my favorite type of job.
There are 2 ways you could do this.
Outside only - you could probably charge somewhere around 500 bucks each (maybe more depending on area) then add a $1-2 per screen if you add screen washing. But you’d need their maintenance man to remove and replace the screens for you. Maybe a day’s worth of work. Housekeeping probably does the inside so and outside only job would be easy to get.
Inside and out - You’d probably want to charge a minimum of 1000 because you need time to remove/replace the screens and clock the time in and out of each room twice.
I personally wouldn’t slide the windows out - you’d have to remove each lock from each room and that would take a LOT of time.
Hotel/motels are easy work, as Jared said quote the outside 500-600 +$1-2 per screen wash, have maintenance remove the screens before you arrive, if not make sure they start removing the screens from the top floor down (because that where you want to start anyways.)
(most of the time the maids do the inside windows.)…from my experience, and i due a few 2x a year.
Also check condition of the glass because since it’s new construction, you might have a lot more work ahead of you and the price will have to be reflected in your quote/bid for these hotels.
$500 sounds really low for exterior at least for what I see in the pictures. 3rd story too. I would definitely figure out your per window pricing and do a count. Don’t just bid $500 cause someone says it worked for them.
