I stopped by a major hotel this week and the brand new to the scene GM was very nice and was very interested in a bid since his hotel will be going through a major renovation this summer meaning he will want full inside/outside clean.
Here are the stats for the rooms:
82 4th floor panes
82 3rd floor panes
72 2nd floor panes
34 1st floor panes
88 Panes in the Front Lobby
81 Panes in the back of the building.
I’m thinking outside clean price of $2.00 per pane + $1 increase for each level for the rooms and $2.00 per pane for the lobby ($5.00 per pane on the 4th floor and so on).
For the outside that puts my bid @ $1,344.00.
For inside I could stick to the $2.00 per pane for all windows for a total of $878.00.
Grand Total= $2,222 + tax.
This of course is not a construction clean up level of work. Does that seem like I’m in the ball park?
For outside 1300 isn’t bad, could probably do 1500-1800.
Inside, I’d probably do 1500 because going in and out of rooms takes a while and you don’t know what condition the windows will be in at the renovation.
Could add $2 per screen washing. Maybe repair some too @ $25 per?
So minimum 3Gs and just explain that’s for the initial clean. Maintenance cleans could be lower depending on how it goes. Then try to get them biannually or outside only quarterly. At least get the lobby.
Not bad for maybe three days work.
Oh, they’re probably spending 50-100k to renovate if they’re renovating the rooms so 3k is a rounding error.
A rough bid for me based on the info without seeing the actual style of window I would be around $2,800 in and out but I would state that this was for a straight wash cleaning, meaning not a construction clean (not removing any construction debris) a picture would be great.
Our crew would complete something this size in a day, so I typically tell the customer this also. Gives them a time frame
Dumb question… I’m assuming they would want the cleaning after the renovations?
I did mention screens and will add that to the bid. I hear you on the inside clean. I can add $1 per and get that number up. Sounds like I’m close.
I emailed my friend back East, who manages a hotel. She thought it was attractive and said she would sign that if it were her hotel.
