Anyone in the Houston area? Doing ok?
Headed down with the bass fishing club at my college. 12hr drive down there from NC. Gonna be leaving soon. Be there for about a week. We’re bringing boats and supplies

My wife’s sister lives there as well as some close friends. Even though there homes haven’t been flooded . Looks like there running out of food and supplies . Some stores just opend up again , but there’s a line out the door .
I’m just now catching up on WCR. I live on the east side of Houston as well as a few other window cleaners i’ve met on here/FB.
Unfortunately, I live in Baytown about 5 miles from Cedar Bayou where the US saw it’s largest continual rain in the continental US history. The bayou of course flooded and other than Rockport that got hit directly by Harvey, Baytown was probably the next worse part of Texas, flooding-wise.
So for the past 3 days, I have been out on boats trying to get people out of neighborhoods. The water has been so high, that I was getting off of a Fire Dept boat and I could step right onto the roof. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen. It’s unfathomable. We were able to rescue about 20 people and about 5 animals from their homes before they got stuck.
So for the past week, since about Thursday of last week, it has been raining non-stop and that is what I’ve been doing instead of working.
