How do I safely clean vinyl window panes on a sunporch

Hi. One of my customers called asking what he should use to clean the vinyl window panes he has on his sunporch. He used a product from Zepp on his Florida home that he purchased from Home Depot. However, he is now in his Minnesota home for the summer and the Home Depot up here does not carry that Zepp product he used down there.

So here’s the question or two… Is there some sort of special product necessary a guy has to use to clean these types of windows or will soap and water work?

Thank you.
John

Are you referring to the plexiglass or lexan that is sometimes used in place of glass in a window, or are you referring to the frames of the window that are made of vinyl?

Not the frames. But I don’t know if it’s plexiglass or lexan.

are they sort of like super tough saran-wrap stretched over a window frame? i’ve done those before, but not sure it’s what you are talking about.

Find the Zepp that he used, elsewhere and charge him to clean them. Order it online and have it shipped to you. If it is a liquid that you can put in a generic bottle, that is even better.

You can check a marine supply store for plexi cleaners if WCR doesn’t carry it. A lot of plexiglass can be scratched just by a rough huck towel.

Give me a call, we do these all the time.
Either both the vinyls or the acrylics, there everywhere in FL.
