I have a 4 stage cart its from a different company. It has 2: 4"X21" high flow RO filters plus; the same size carbon sediment filter; and also the same size DI cartridge. It runs on a pump I’m not sure the amount of flow but it gets up to four stories no issues. I run it 2-3 times per month anywhere from 6-24 hours. I’ve replaced the DI and carbon sediment once after about. I’ve been using it for about 9 months now. I still get 000 ppm.
I replaced the carbon filter and the DI after I got up to around 5-10 PPM after about 6 Months of use. My TDI is between 350-850 depending on many factors. My question is when should I replace the RO filters they are $400 dollars each and it takes two so I want to prepare for spending $800 bucks. Any suggestions?
I tried to reply last night but hit post and froze up. Rebooted and left off. Look, 400 is quite a lot for membranes. I know some folks that know membranes. If you know the type filter or PM me the system I am sure you can get much cheaper. If buying from folks that made the system they will be more expensive. Continue to flush the system. Depends if you backwash (short duration flush) or backflush (a more rigorous and thorough cleaning technique used in cases of particulate and colloidal fouling).Do you know if it is a series or parallel system. Has a lot to do which Ro will go first, sort of like running DI in series. First takes the blunt. If rejection from 1st runs into in of second would depend on what the water of the rejection is going into the second. Should be lower. May be able to make second the first and only need a new second, if 400 a pop but I bet we can get for less than 200. Just maintain the carbon filter. Chlorine will kill that RO membrane if not controlled.
$ 400.00 per RO membrane ? That is pretty pricey! You can get 2 AXEON’S for less than 500.00 from anywhere !
Your RO membranes should last 3-4 years depending on how you treat your system as far as flushing and all the little important things involved.
I know it’s not one of my systems you have.

You are new so here is advise. You do not edit comments, frowned upon here. Second, nothing constructive to add then keep comments to yourself. If you are ignorant to the thread keep comments to yourself and move on.

Never said I was, newer but at least I post. Second Ask Chris or Alex if it is acceptable behavoir for folks to edit quotes and if asked not to understand and comply. I’ll ask them and see if it is just you with an axe to grind.
As you know many edited on here and received flack from others. I advised him not to edit my posts. Misrepresents what I said. Got problem with that?
As a “MOD” you job is to tell folks not to edit quotes to suit their agenda.
I don’t see an edit as much as i see a typo, possible pocket posting (WCR app gets started up in a pocket and posts whatever your car keys hit on the phone).
I’ve seen you edit posts, actually, almost every single post of yours is edited. I have not seen anyone give you “flack” about it. Myself included.

You may be right Chlorine will kill tAAzzAZZzA!__zQ is obviously a typo on his part. Maybe when replied typed this in error? then put the zs in the right spot. If did on purpose you would agree just as many others would, not cool to do. Remember ladder thread…
@SqueegeeNinjaNJ
I dont edit their words or add add to, like many copy the exact phrase which replying to. Show me where I re-typed their words into my own or altered what they said.
See, I am allowed to correct a typo or add a new thought. Didn’t think editing my own post was a violation. I edit mine. Duh, not change wording in others, big differance
You folks have lost it. I never his post. He may have added by accident or on purpose. I told him not cool. Simple. Why are you getting on my case. If I need to correct a typo in something I wrote that is okay. What you guys are doing and making an issue out of is AZZinine. See you are changing quotes. I never edited a quote. Have fun with your little game. Children…
