I work crazy hours and I find ibdo not get time in the office which I need to change that.
So how do you run a typical day with out burningvyouself out.
I’m working about 7 or 8 hrs per day right now.
Average 6 hours a day. It’s still too much in the field. My goal is three half days a week.
I’m with Larry. 7-8 hrs. 5 days a week with an occasional Saturday.
2 days a week, and about an hour or less a day of phone calls. I’ve held this schedule for about 2 years. So far so good.
Are you part time? Do you have another job? Just curious, why so few days?
I was thinking about this subject a few days ago…I was thinking to myself do i really put in the time thats truly needed to make this sucessful
and low and behold everyones put in about the same amount of time as I am.
Yes I work part time. I always have, but now I have two full time guys, and two part time guys.
Im doing like 5 - 10hr days a week now… Its a little bit more than I would like, but Im working on tons of projects. I like to get up early, 4- 5 am kill a little email… Exercise, bring the kid to the bus, and be at my desk by 745…
This time of year I’m in the field 40 - 50+ hours per week and spending several more hours on the phone and giving estimates.
Not thrilled about that many hours and want to get my ducks in order to do less labor and more back and front end stuff.
50 hours a week in the field, 1 hour per day in office.
I am working 7 to 10 hr days 6 days a week right now to handle the work load. Booked out a month in advance this spring. I am looking forward to cutting out Saturdays in July. The phone hasn’t stopped ringing since April.
Always 6 sometimes 7 days a week but that’s alright considering I have a short season anyway. When there is $ to be made you gotta make it…

I work 8-16 hours a week, mostly office work. In May, I work in the field an additional 15-20 hours as well. Past four years this has become steady, instead of an average of 8-16 (way down in winter, way up in spring/fall).
