How many jobs per day

How many jobs are you averaging a day? I am a smaller company, 1 crew, 1 van…we do 10-16 per day…love to hear from other smaller companies…thanks:)

Are you talking storefront or residential? We do 2 or 3 depending on their size and the time of year. In the spring and summer when there is more light we might get 4 small jobs (ones that fall in our minimum) done.

residential/smaller commercail store fronts 10-16 jobs perday, larger commercial jobs such as car dealerships/hotels we cant do as many, maybe 6-8

Wow, I’d love to know your secret, and your prices too !

I get 1 or 2 a day depending on size and complexity, but I sell a lot in and outs.
When there’s exterior only I can get more done if there’s not a lot of driving involved.

im a one man show, i get 2 maybe 3 in/out residential jobs done per day max…and those are smaller to medium jobs. large and very large ($500 +) usually one a day.

How big a crew are we talking?

2 of us average $800 in sales a day so depending on the prices of the houses were doing anywhere from 2-5 a day.

I must be doing something wrong…my crew is myself and 1 or 2 guys, depending on whats scheduled for the day. My last week I went from a low of 7 jobs a day to high of 12…my $ amt went from 350-750…I’m not on my full schedule yet because of the weather being so bad here…just getting started back with residential, commercial I keep up w/thru winter, res, I stop in Jan and Feb…my prices must be too low…this area is sorta depressed, are your areas booming?any suggestions…love to hear from you all…thanks

What size houses are you doing? How many windows? Is this a mix of residential and commercial? If so what percentage of each?

I wouldn’t say that you’re doing something wrong, but it seems a little unreal to me.
I work alone or with my wife, and we can get 2 small/medium houses a day, a combination of in/outs and outs only.
Funny thing is that I don’t even do 16 jobs PER WEEK, even when we’re really busy.

You should review your pricing I guess, but every market/area is different, and what works great around here might be business suicide in other parts of the country.

10-16 jobs per day? with you and 2 other guys?
Most of us have 2-3 jobs per day
10-16 divided by 3 is 3-5 per person
You guys are either some kind of incredible or you have pretty small houses
On average I have a home with 30-40 window panes (usually nice and big) and 10-15 sun screens
Usually In and Out, It takes me about 3-4 hours depends on whole bunch of stuff
So if i wanted a 8 hr day with 3-5 homes I would have to clean them in 1-2.5 hours. Should had listen to my parents and ate all the vegetables
some math is off and not couting the drive

You’ll get a whole range of responses. Since the size of jobs vary quite a bit.

I take it your a talking about businesses.

ok…heres what we did (3 of us )on my 12 job day last wed…1 lg house- newer construction, 7 -2 stories,1 split entry, 1 ranch, 1 small hair salon 12 windows, 1 apt 6 windows…11 of the jobs were all within 1-mile of eachother…i try to schedule all houses in 1 neighborhood on same day…these were outsides only, but compared to the smaller # of jobs some of you are doing…youre making more $ than me it seems…whats typical price of reg 2 story…mine is $35-45, takes maybe 1/2 hr, the lg house took us about 45 min that was priced at $115.00…am i too cheap?

OK now I understand. My wife and I do a monthly house route that’s just outs and we do 10-12 houses in a day that way.

On residential days I’ll get 2-4 houses done with 1 employee and 3-5 with 2 employees. Obviously that depends on size.
Today was a commercial day, 30 jobs and one small section of a house. That’s with one helper.
I’ve had a crew do as many as 48 commercial jobs in one day. Still, it seems that fewer, larger jobs end up more profitable at the end of the day due to less idle time travelling.

This gives me some reassurance, thank you! I working by myself, it took me 5 hours, which I am sure I can get that time down with more experience and more organization. However, I can’t imagine being able to do more than 2 a day in/out residential, depending on size naturally.

Like most have said. This can vary from day to day and crew to crew and job to job. You could spend all day on 1 job . Big commercial or big residential. Like me just yesterday. I did a house that ended up being $630 took me all day. not hard work. Just busy work.

What I’d like to know is how many panes per day.
I recently did a home that had some windows at 3 story level. 100 panes in all, in and out. All screens were inside, and only needed wiped down with a dry huck. Many large picture windows, many casements, 10 french doors (single pane), 12-15 required poling on the inside…large irregular shaped panes. I wfp’ed the outside.
The job took me 6 hours, 45 mins onsite, 25 mins drive time each way. I made $468, which is $520 minus 10% off for my new customer promotion.
The attached pic is from google earth.

Interesting to see the numbers from my fellow window cleaners.
We average 10 accounts per day with 3 of us working out of my F-150. These accounts are residential, exterior only and generate an average of 800.00$ per day. Normally we will have 3 to 5 interior jobs scheduled in the mix. My wife and a part timer will help with those. When we do the interiors are revenue jumps to 1000.00$ to 1200.00$ on that day.
I need to do better at selling interior work.

It’s crazy to see the numbers everyone is getting around the country. We average 2-3 jobs per day usually either 2 int/ext jobs of medium/large size, or 2 smaller/medium int/ext jobs and maybe a gutter clean or power wash. The most resi two guys did in one day was 4 jobs - 1 ext only, 2 int/ext, and 1 power wash.
