How Often

For storefront window cleaning? Every two weeks? Once a month? Thanks

All of the above plus weekly, dependent upon their budget and how they value their image.

Thanks for the answer. I guess I should have worded it What do most storefronts do, weekly, biweekly, or monthly?

Thanks again.

Guesstimate for my biz… 10% weekly, 35% bi-weekly, 50% monthly and the rest on odd schedules / will call.

I don’t do a lot of storefronts, but… I bet those weekly ones would be a great way to get through a winter!

Most of mine, probably 75% are every other week. Next is every 4 weeks. Only a few every week and some less often or as needed. I’ve got a few 3 weekersand 6 weekers which makes it interesting sometimes.

I’m starting to go after more storefront.
Most of mine are every two weeks. That’s what I write the proposal for. If they want other options they have to bring it up.

Depends on the location and store owners preference. My clients are about half every 2 weeks and half once a month. Some just like it that way and some of the others (the 2 wk people really need it due to location that seems to be downwind to a lot of weather related dirt. I have a few that are quarterly. Once in a while you may find some store owner that wants it done once every 6 months. Personally I refuse them this service. Basically because they are not really interested in clean windows just in someone to dig them out twice a year.

if they want monthly have them agree to a 4 week rotation if it’s monthly you get 12 cleanings but 52 weeks / 4 week rotation is 13 cleanings. I subbed for a guy when I first started who had hundreds of storefronts, I thought it was a smart way to have accounts increase revenue

Ive been the window cleaner for several businesses since they began or started in a new location. Its interesting to see the success of these businesses and to compare it with the frequencey of cleaning. This thread got me thinking today while I was out and about working. Every single one of my weekly clients are huge successes in their businesses. They love what they do. They have a good regular client base and they are positive people. A bit less for my two week clients and much less for my monthly. Its funny, I cant stand the attitudes of the potential clients that only wanted cleaning to be done every two months or more. After a while I either raised prices through the roof or just said goodbye.
Also, its almost always been my weekly commercial clients whove referred me to other businesses.

This is how I run all of my reaccuring accounts. I set them up on either a weekly, every other week or every 4 weeks. It is a great way to get an extra cleaning out of each account. I find that most restaurants that I clean for want their windows done wither weekly or every other week due to kids messing up windows near the tables. Most store front accounts or office buildings are set up on a 4 week cleaning. Seems to work well. Good luck.

I would think that would depend on the customer and what type of traffic.

Fastfood = weekly
Sit down restaurant = weekly to every other week
Car Showroom - every 4th week
Shopping center storefronts - every other week to every 4th week

We only suggest weekly, every other week, or every 4th week. Some of our clients call us “as needed” but they realize that we’ll get to them when we can, we have to take care of our scheduled clients first. As needed clients pay a slightly higher rate too, due to windows and frames being in a filthy condition.

We always sell weekly first. It generates more revenue, easier and quicker to clean each time, keeps week to week routes fuller. We are 50% weekly. I always let the customer bring up another option if not int’d in weekly. Of course the less frequent the more it costs each cleaning. I picked up a small storefront yesterday (5 panes) that we used to do for the previous owner at $25/m weekly out and monthly in. I told her I’d do it for the same price as before and she said what about 2x/m? I said that’d be $2o/m she said ok start me up. If she would have said what about monthly it would have been $15/m. Good luck.
