How Safe/One Restore is used on Windows

Here is how we use Safe/One Restore on windows.
The mix we use for this is one part Safe/One Restore to three parts water.
Another thing should always wear rubber gloves so not to get it on your hands.

Great video…I would also suggest:

 • no-fog goggles / splash shield
 • esometimes if that stuff touches anything besides the glass it makes a ‘clean spot’. You can carry an extra pour bottle and wet down any areas that you do not want treated.

ps. If one of my guys could consistently clean windows that fast Id bonus them all the time.

First you would have noticed that before applying the One Restore.

That used a scrubber saturated with cleaning solution first.

This cools the glass wets the frames prevents clean spots.:)

So when the already water down One Restore is applied it is quite mild.

In fact it also cleans the frames.;)

And when rinsing same goes saturated scrubber, squeegee then detail.

to be honest i would if possible i would have doused the area being cleaned with a hose applied the First restore and then used the hose to rinse it all off… but sometimes a hose aint possible… looks like good stuff . is that better ( stronger ) than winsol 550 ?

Hey John,

When it comes to One/Safe Restore and CC550 there is a difference in how they work.

One/Safe Restore is more a cleaner as to clean grease, dirt, calcium off the glass and other surfaces.

Also can be watered down depending on what type of surfaces you are cleaning.

However CC550 is a clearing agent not a cleaner, should be used after cleaning the glass of dirt grease etc.

To be used at full strength not diluted.

Found most times using One/Safe Restore at the mix we use seems to work best IMO.

If the calcium is still bad after using One/Safe Restore.

Then move to plan B use CC550 after testing small area for tin etch haze.

So in the event this does not work we move to plan C which is using a machine.

Thanks for that Herman i have not tried any of these two products . saying that in Germany most not all but most dont let there windows get to that stage . but i use Hard water stain removal powders mostly for Glass roofs where needed etc and the odd over watering of the garden sprayer maybe once a year…

can you not apply it with a tbar sleeve?

Yes Tim,

You can applie it with your T-bar scrubbing sleeve, however the chemicals will ruin the scrubbing sleeve.

This is why we use a purpose made scrubber that holds the chemical and has a scrubbing material around it.

This is the one that is used in the video.

Plus another video show anothe way check it out

Oh and that sort of buzzing noise on the video, that was racing cars in the back ground.

This house is not that far from the race track.

The Bathurst 1000 here in Australia will be held this weekend.

They were doing practice runs.

Nice, is that far from Phillip Island? I used to race superbikes and always wanted to lay some rubber on that track. The only thing we have comparable here in the states is Laguna…which opened after my retirement (hard crash).

man…I miss going fast.

Yes know Phillip Island.

Bathurst is about 200 hundred miles away.

They mainly race cars and broadcast all over the world.

They did have bikes on this track many years ago.

You want to check it out on the sports channel.

The main race starts early Saturday evening your time.

P.S If you do watch it, visualize riding a super bike around it.

Can’t say how it works on glass, but I did try it the other day at a customer’s home on his sky blue colored hardy plank siding.

Wish I had taken pictures to show BEFORE / AFTER … next time I will. I can still post the AFTERS.
Large portion of the lower bottom half siding board was covered with mineral stains (well water / orange discoloration) from the well water’s sprinkler system.

Followed directions, used full strength let dwell and rised w/ garden hose. Only noticeable difference is it may of slightly lighted the paint color but it totally removed the stain.

Good video by the way.

You can also clean shower doors, like this first to get the soap scum, water marks etc off.

Do this first before using more aggressive methods.

Now on I will forever clean windows and yell “Give it a good scrub here! Give it a good scrub here!”

Hey Kyle; welcome to the forum,

Was in Hommer mode,:confused::o
