This is what I call the peg:

Ha⌠Thatâs funny.
I guess I never had a name for it.
No wonder I had no idea.
(Iâm an idiot)
Thanks for clarifying, man.
Haha, youâre definitely not an idiot (in this context, anyway ;)). I had to think about it for a little bit and say, âwhat the heck should I call this piece, for the sake of my tutorial?â I didnât have a word for it before I needed one, and I just used what made the most sense to me. But my brain definitely doesnât work the same way as at least 89% of the rest of the populationâŚ
Itâs the thingy that goes inside the deal where you put the whatsits pins in.
Iâll refer to it as that, from now on.
I think I have some older pieces that seem shorter/stick out less at âthe Peg.â
Because you made me look at your pics and then examine mine, and the ones that are newer seem to stick out more.
Iâll take a look at my personal set tomorrow and compare it to the rest of my guysâ.
Because I know I also have a couple that donât have holes for safety pins.
Itâs funny, when I saw Jared quoted Alexâs âyouâre not an idiotâ
Complex?
Insecurity?
Ball busting friends?
Take your pick.
I may make fun of Detroit (but let face it, itâs Detroit but at least itâs not Chicago - your car might get stolen in Detroit, but youâll get shot in Chicago), but Iâd never make fun of you.
Plus, youâve got to know more than me because I cannot stand sectional ladders so I assume that Iâm missing something.
Some of them are :).

There I fixed it.
