Has anyone run into this type of glass covering and how do you go about cleaning it. So far I’m using wet and dry towel but wondering if there’s a faster way. Mop and squeegee tend to tear at this vinyl covering and also ruin my equipment.

I just asked the same question…
I have nightmares sometimes that all my storefront customers put these type of signs on all there glass
Man I don’t know I just use a squeegee, an pray I don’t get complaints. Doesn’t seem to ruin it .
I think I remember Jared saying he used s green indoor Unger pad. I’ve been meaning to try it. I have a couple of stores that have it on , so I don’t have extensive perforated vinyl everywhere
Years ago I had to maintain many storefronts with this type of advertising sticker. A salesman comes through town and next thing you know you have a dozen of these silly things to clean.
Try to press a bit harder and go over them twice. You’ll still get a few drips which you then rub out with a huck.
I’m trying to come up with a pitch to sell removal of that crap now.
I wonderif companies pay for that advertising through product discounts or what seems like a terms that isn’t going any where.
I scrub it lightly with a mop or wet microfiber and then dry it with a white terry cloth. Best thing to do is convince them to remove it and up charge for sticker removal. I’ve had some customers thank me because they get a lot more light in their showroom.
Do you charge/earn for removal?
Pull some hose out, connect to the nearest water tap and brush & blast it. If you have to borrow the neighbor’s water, do these types early in the a.m. This is exactly what I do.
If the covering is on the inside, I damp cloth sprayway it and buff with microfiber.
Thanks all for your help
Depending on size I do. If it’s a large decal I’ve charged anywhere from 5 to 25 dollars but if it’s smaller than like 10 quick scrapes I don’t charge. Anything it covers half a window or more I bring it to the customers attention that it is going to cost a little extra.
Ugh I ran into those on a pet salon I did last month. Washed the outside first and when I got done with the inside I saw what a mess was left after just running over those decals with a squeegee. Buffed the whole sticker with a dry microfiber and I haven’t got a call yet. In the future I probably will charge more for the hassle.
What about using Unger speed clean kit or stingray?
