In between my double glazed windows are condensation and I’m not sure how to get rid of it. Does anyone know how to?
There are ways to do it though I am not familiar with them. The problem with doing that is even though they can come clean, a vent hole is left in the glass which means that the insulating value of the glass is highly compromised.
There isn’t, short of replacing the window.
That’s called a broken seal. If you’re not in the. Haines of relaxing glass then it’s not a job for you. Nothing a cleaner can do about that. Find someone local that does window replacement and work out something with them.
Doesn’t have to be $$ but referrals are just as good. I come across broken seals often and I found someone I will recommend and he will do the same thing.
But cleaning… lost cause. You can still clean the glass like normal but there won’t be a big difference.
Need to get a professional glazier , tell him your seals are busted
if the mechanics are in good shape you can have the glass unit replaced or you can have it defogged if it is only showing some mist or drops . defogging involves drilling through the glass, and rinsing with chems.
it is far cheaper than replacing but it has varying success. if the glass has started to collect white staing it will not be cleared with defogging. here a glass unit replacement that would 500 could be defogged for around 150
why do you care? do you think you caused it or something?
I think they are his personal windows… like at his house.
I had a window once that had a compromised seal. It had a bb hole in the outer plate. A perfect hole. The window never collected fog in between the plates of the unit. And remained completely free of any film or dirt. For years. So my answer is to buy a powerful bb gun and pop a perfect little hole in one of the outside corners. Just need to make sure it is straight on so you get a perfect hole with no crack legs coming out. Also make sure the glass is not tempered. Try a nice pair of polarized sunglasses. Walmart sells some for fishing for ten bux. You will be able to see the compression pattern on a sunny day. Check out the windows in a car. Only the windshield will not show the compression pattern. But you can have a waiver signed to make sure. Also make sure the glass hasn’t been etched yet but you only have a water condensate. No white salts formed. But. I have never done this !!!
