How to handle difficult to access gutters

Hey guys, really quick wanted to thank everyone on this forum for giving me the confidence to be able to start my own window cleaning business. Been on here 24/7 for the last 3 months (only just created my account though) but it’s really helped. Now I was leaving doorhangers in a neighborhood this morning and came across this house

How would you guys do these? I was thinking maybe a 32’ extended up there and then just a crazy angle to the ground. I definently don’t feel comfortable walking that. I didn’t even get that house but gutters like these seem to be a common thing here and I want to have to turn anything down as work is slow starting out. I have a scooper and a pole too but don’t see how that could work here. Thanks guys

Hey bro. Looks like you could get a large extension ladder with a good stand off up there. My local home depot carries a decent stand off for $25 although there are much netter ones out there.

You would need a harness, some rope access training, and good pair of roofing boots to do that safely in my opinion.

Why do you need to get up there? There are no trees above the roof line, so no debris to clog the gutters.

Would you just tie off to something on the ground on the other side? (tree, etc)

Not this house in particular, this just seems to be a common thing around here and was wondering how you guys would handle this kind of situation. Appreciate it though man in this case would definitely not bother going up lol

I have the Werner quick-click, you don’t think that would be too wide of an angle?

Way too steep of an angle for a ladder, imnsho, even with standoffs. The driveway side looks a little less steep…
Maybe, if you sunk rebar into the grass about 2’, and had someone who weighs
300lbs foot the ladder on the drive way…
There are also vacuum systems available, which is how I would go if I did gutters.

It might be. Only one way to find out. I’m sure it goes without saying but don’t climb the ladder of its not stable.

Well, I have enough to keep me busy without chasing hypothetical jobs that don’t pop up.
Hypothetically though, you could lean the ladder to the pitch of the roof and secure the ladder legs so it doesn’t move, then climb that outstretched ladder and drag the debris to you with a pole and gutter cleaning tool. But that would be hypothetically of course.

I think a 28 ’ on the right side would do it with stand offs. Probably the front as well.

Any time we are on any ladders, we have stand off brackets. You would be crazy not to spend the $25 bucks and get them on if you are doing gutters.

Agreed

Personally I would inspect the gutters first with my WFP and a GoPro camera. They might not even need cleaning. I know everyone doesn’t have that so If I had to clean them I would throw a rope over the peak and tie off to a secure point on the ground (not OSHA approved) like a tree or a truck. Then I would walk up with my cougar paw boots and clean it and climb down. I also have a camera drone that I could use to inspect them but that’s another topic…
