How would you bid this

Okay, I’m fairly new to window cleaning profession but I am doing all right and this board always helps out, thanks alot. Now onto the question.

There is a grocery store that I would like to offer a cleaning to but I’m not sure how to bid it. Looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in 10 years or more, Even the window seals have caked up with dirty dust, etc. Also some windows seem to have a white discolor to areas in them. There is so much dust an dirt that I can’t even tell if its hard water. I would say about 4 panes have this stain on them. Onto the windows

The front has 2 sliding glass doors sets, then a 20 pane 2x4 foot arched glass walk infront of these. Also there are 8 4x8 foot glass panes. I know I would have to charge more on the first cleaning, but how much just for the first cleaning. If they weren’t so bad I would usually do this type in about 45 mins-1 hour and charge about $75 There would be pole and a little ladder work involved

Sorry for no pictures.

If you think it will take you twice as long as the 45 minutes to 1 hour, then charge twice the $75 you mentioned above.

Make sure that you set cleaning (versus restoration) expectations accordingly.

Yeah, Thats what I was figuring the first cleaning could take 2-3 hours if there isn’t any hard water. Guess I would say $215 and let them know if it turns out to be hard water, the hard water removal is extra. Or I possibly thought about removing the hard water for free if they signed a contract to have them cleaned monthly for one year at $75. Or would I be stupid for offering that? Also I’m not really sure if any window cleaners do yearly contracts? is that unheard of? thanks

If it hasn’t been done in ten years, I’m pretty sure there are hard water stains. There would be in my climate. (St. Louis). You might want to tell the customer that you can get the dirt off, but they may not look perfect. This could be a restoration job.
