I see Lower Manhattan is flooding and ConEd is trying to make sure lines are protected underground – the power grid is threatened.
Roughly 250,000 homes without electricity now, Governor closed I95 and the Meritt parkway(trees down every where), state wide ban on semi’s being on the roads, woke up early to a large branch coming off a tree in the front yard, streets are like streams, and lots of rain w/ some pretty strong winds at times.
Been tornado warnings in many states and I’m quite sure we had one touchdown in the back yard. The devastation is crazy. Not sure how we are gonna survive this one.
Vernon is shut down. Lots with no power, lots of down trees and power lines and lots of rain. I have power so I’m pretty happy.
Hope everyone else in the path of the storm is doing ok.
Hang in there Art! We’re w/o power, but town has it. About 3.5" so far and some debris, but we’ve had worse.
Was looking across the water at the Manhattan skyline about an hour ago, looks like all is well.
Yeah you guys took it on the chin up there from what i heard. Luckily this broad calmed down a bit around these parts. The big cities could’ve been knocked around a lot harder than they were. Still lots of outages, trees and flooding around here, but thankfully not as bad as it was supposed to be
Heading out in a few minutes. Don’t know how far we will make as many bridges are out. Flooding is still expected today as the the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers crest. Just spoke to one customer and all roads to their house are closed or washed out. We could be months here before everything is back to normal with all the bridges that are out.
Ouch that sucks! I hope you guys get up and running sooner rather than later!
We have crews out washing windows today at houses with no electricity – no one wanted to cancel.
