I need help in the sun

I have two other suggestions:

Perhaps your boss can be persuaded to get into, if he’s not already, pure water delivery system. Then sun is not an issue.
Also, I have done the two pole method. Keep a mop, I suggest a microfiber mop that holds a ton of water, permanently on one pole and a squeegee on the other. This buys you quite a bit of time.

i keep the window very wet/soapy, gotta be fast and have a light touch…

It just takes time. I wish there was a answer. My guys never went out on there own for months. Everyone picks things up better than others. I now without thinking about it, work with the sun, and when glass is left in the sun, there are simple one’s. You may need a helper too share scrubbing and squeegeeing. That will help you speed up in both areas. DW

This never seems to work as far as cooling down the window, but it will get cleaner solution on the window before you squeegee, making the dry-time slower.

+1

Figuring out where to start and finish according to the position of the sun is a great way to plan a cleaning visit.

Cool the window off with a hose. Keep the pressure low so not to hit other windows and place the nozzle about an inch from the glass and let it cascade down drop the hose and clean

+1. Keep both the squeegee and strip washer in your hands at the same time. It will save time. Also wet the window from the bottom up. The solution dries at the top the fastest because it drips down the window. It might not make any sense to some but it does to me :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Guys to all of you with serious answers. I am doing my best to learn what you folks already know. I’m sorry if if some of you thought I was kidding or it was a stupid question. We all have to start somewhere thats why I joined this board, If anyone has questions on my field of expertise (Jeeps) I will be glad to advise you on ant aspect that i can be of help on.

Hey Mikey,
I am sure the non serious replies had nothing to do with you kidding or it being a stupid ? I believe it had to do with your original post, and I quote “I am new to window washing and the boss sent me out alone”. None of us would ever expect some1 new to this trade to know it all and to not ask ?s about improving quality. Keep throwing out the ?s, you will always get some answers. Hope things are improving.

Can you tell me why Jeeps are such pieces of junk?
Couldn’t resist!

Not mine (or Seth’s, no doubt)!

Darn right! Mine may not look pretty, but it runs like a champ!

I’ll make an exception for Wranglers…and I’m probably digging a real deep hole.
Any of the jeeps i’ve ever ridden in have been awful. We’re talking 80’s and 90’s mind you.
