If you are getting emails from Doug McDonald aka legend of doug

DO NOT OPEN IT! Can’t verify its him but his account DID NOT get hacked because when an email gets hacked its a bot that automatically sends just a link and not personalized text.

Just a heads up.

I got 2 of them today. Here is the one I just now got:mad: (but without the link).

hello Elite, i guarantee you’ll be 100% satisfied[/SIZE] bogus redirect link added here.

I got one today too! ****ed me off because I wasn’t thinking and I opened it. It even had some text saying something like “hey Nate don’t don’t let this slip your mind” and then a link. Ordinarily I would not have opened it, but I thought it was from Doug so I did.

It took me to some phony website that was made up to look like NBC or news with an article about how to make money from home online. That’s when I realized that Doug must have sold off his email list to the highest bidder.

I was going to post about it too, but I forgot all about untill I saw your post just now.

Ok here’s the one I got:

From: [email protected]

To: Me

Subject: hi Nate

Body: hey Nate, don’t let this slip your mind

Then the link

Here is my reply since I knew my email address had been sold:

From: me

To: [email protected]

Subject: re: hi Nate

Body: Go **** yourself.

And the hits just keep coming from the farce of Doug.

Sad but true. I try to tell myself it’s probably not really Doug since I’m guessing he has become addicted to something. And it’s the drug that’s influencing his actions.

But I also realize that we are all accountable for our own actions.

When I dealt with Doug, he was a good guy, but drugs have a way of changing those things. I still hate to think of such a young kid who was doing so well, run everything he worked hard for straight into the ground.

You know things must be bad when you have to sell your email addresses.

Last time I looked, his websites were still up. Hope he gets things straightened out soon.

Why are people stating as fact that Doug is on drugs?

Yes, some people are a-holes without being under the influence of mood-altering chemicals.
Not fair to the really nice drug addicts.

I’d like to know too! Who are these people?

Just noticed that I had another email from him that got filtered out into the junk mail of another of my email accounts.

This one also had personal text that read "Nate how are you? and then “Nate hi, my mother showed this to me”-- followed by the BS link

Very convincing when your not expecting it.

SD Glass Restoration lists Portland, OR as a service location.

PDX Glass Restoration advertises their services on Craigslist and online classified pages. Their phone number – 503-489-9960 – is a land-line in Gresham, OR.

Perhaps that party is aware of Doug’s whereabouts and goings-on.

I checked the Whois info on PDX Glass Restoration and it would appear that the site is owned and ran by a Greg Mcdonald…

SD Glass Restoration is owned and run by Doug still, according to the Whois info:

Seems like all the people who were burned by Doug could use this info to get a hold of him.

He must not be doing too bad if he still owns this company. So I have to wonder why the Hell are we getting spam from his email list!

isn’t it just a virus of some sort that uses the contact list of outlook, even unknowingly from the user?

I don’t know. But I do know it came from his email list.
