What sort of incentives do you guys use in your marketing material?
I’ve been using a $25 gas card with every completed job recently and it seemed to work well… first round of 1000 door hangers got 7 callbacks, 6 estimates, and 5 scheduled jobs in 10 days. Ultimately quite profitable, and I’m running the same design again next week with 4000.
These $25 gift card hangers went to houses with an avg cleaning price of $150-175 @ 6 a pane.
But I’m sure there are better incentives, and I doubt this one would work with higher income levels.
What do you use?
Edit:
Another thing I will note is that only one person even asked about their gas card, the others never mentioned it.
BTW: PrintPlace.com does excellent work. These were great quality and nice thick almost cardboard material. Got them in a week’s time, 1000 @ $131 shipped. Next round of 4000 will only be $280.
The ones that forgot are probably going to be more impressed you still went to the trouble (extra feel good points), where the ones that hired because of it were “expecting” it. It would also show that when you say you’ll do something, they can count on it.
PS: Very nice card, slick design that clearly says “We’re professionals”.
Well thank you, I like it… looks much better in person
I debated a little on whether or not to send the cards out to those that didn’t mention them, but eventually came to the same conclusion and sent them to the homeowners along with a thank you card and some extra business cards.
I love to see any kind of gorilla marketing and this is a fine example. I usually just send the kids out ahead of me with kool aid in water pistols to get a high return on my door to door soliciting.
: )
i noticed here that you said the door hangers were $131 for 1000 shipped, do you mean shipped to the residents you included on your mailing list or shipped to you at $131? Thanks in advance!
$131 shipped to me, I delivered by hand… sorry, should’ve clarified
still though, I pay .07/each to have them delivered.
check out PrintPlace.com, they have a super easy setup that makes it easy to see how much different quanities will cost. Even gives you the per unit cost.
