does anyone use IONPLUS MB-30 Mixed Bed DI Resin in their DI tanks?
I was using Thermax Tulsion (MB-108-BG) Mixed Bed DI Resin but the place I was buying it before is no longer selling it. I was getting it at $100 for 1 Cubic foot.
I noticed that the IonPlus says MB-30 and the Thermax says MB-108, what do these numbers mean? I can only assume that the 30 wont last as long.
I am looking for some affordable resin but I cant find anything close to $100, does anyone know of a good place for resin?
I did a search and looked at a few prices for MB108. That’s some pricey stuff! I saw prices in the $250.00 to $350.00 range for a full cube. At those prices it better be a better product. That must be nuclear grade or something special.
I would imagine the MB-30 at $149.00 is more in line with what us WFP’ers need. I actually have a full cube of MB-30 that I’ll be using when my resin expires.
From what I’ve seen, $149.00 is a great price for virgin mixed bed resin, even if it’s not the top of the line resin like the pricey MB108.
Prior to this post I thought resin is resin and the only big difference is whether it’s virgin or regenerated resin.
Will a tank filled with regenerated resin expire sooner than a tank filled with virgin resin?
Chris, the above link took me to the WCR store but I only saw regenerated resin. I have recently looked for virgin resin at the WCR store but only saw regenerated resin offered. Can you post a link to the virgin resin? Thanks!
