I tried using straight dawn in a bucket with no water. It worked awesome! You just can’t leave your squeegees in the bucket though or you can’t keep them in your hand. It dries a little quick so you have to squeegee fast, which is not a problem as you have tons of slip. It does leave a little more of a film on the glass than most solutions, but I haven’t seen anything cut through the dirt quite like it. A bit more expensive undiluted but I think the slip alone is worth it. I recomend giving it a try.
I wanted to like this post, as I appreciated the humor… But then I got nasty visualization of actually trying to do this. Can you imagine the slimy mess you would end up with? Yuck!
But does it keep the window clean longer?
Yes because the residue laft on the glass attracts the dirt. So instead of the dirt clinging or sticking to the glass it sticks to the residue keeping the glass clean for an extended period. As a matter of fact because it leaves a greater residue than any other solution it keeps the glass cleaner longer than any other solution! I have a patent pending on it. It is my new unique selling point.
Thats ok Alex, because I am going to clean up with it. Pun intended.
works awesome on lasagna pan too
Haha! Nice!
Soap on a rope & a wfp. Not necessarily in that order.

I have been fortunate to learn a lot from everyone in this forum and that is why I am giving
back and want to share my secrets.
Im going to fill you all in on a little secret about soap
I have tried them all at varying amounts and ratios and combinations
been testing this over the past 6 months.
Recently I adopted the absolute best method that works for any glass (resi or comm)
and in any environment. Leaves the glass looking brand spanking new everytime, regardless if
there were previous problems with the glass. My solution removes all kinds of debris, grease, grit and
grime, it also works wonders on water spots.
got scratches or hazing on the glass? It solves that problem too.
no more glass renu, heck you dont even need that squeegie anymore.
The best soap is to not use any at all, at every job that I do I replace all their windows.
Had to refi-my house and sell off my wifes car, jewelry, boots. Took out a 50k business loan last week.
Think what you may but to see the smile on my customers face is priceless, especially since I am the cheapest window cleaner in town.
Personal Experience; Dawn never worked for me tried different mixing rations even tried it with Pure Water and I always got streaks and the white residue on the windows! Tried GG3 and fell in love! Add a dab of ecover for slip and your golden! Glass Glean 3 or 4 are very forgiving and allow you to make mistakes and dries clear! I do almost no detailing whit that mix…
Dawn I use for Screens, thats it!
Dawn of course but not just any Dawn get the original old style blue Dawn
Yes, it was the ole blue color dawny dawn dawn bottle
bro I’ll have to get back with you on that one after little bit of research in the middle cleaning windows right now
I’ve been doing cleaning glass for 18 years. I’ve tried a couple different things but always go back to adding JOY to the GG4. I like a little bubble action.
