Ladder App for Iphone

Noticed there is a great App for your Iphone on Itunes to help set up your ladders safely.

if its the same one that Mr. Robinson reviewed recently on his blog (robinson-solutions.blogspot.com, i think) , its really not all that great- quite inaccurate, actually. just get the free level app by iHandy… it has a degree readout

totally different app

ok… do you have a link? or an exact name of the app?

its call safety ladder

App Shopper: Safety Ladder (Business)

This is in fact the very app Mr Robinson had in this blog post - Dangerous iphone App’ For Window Cleaners

we’ve got it and it works fine. cant see what the problem is

Don’t over complicate ladder angle. 75 degree angle. Stand with your toes touching the beam and out stretch your arms. Your hands should rest on the rungs straight out from your shoulders. You should not have to lean in to reach the rung or be leaning back. This gives a safe and comfortable climbing angle.

Exactly right Steve. It’s works the same no matter what height you are.

unless you have unusually disproportianate arms- like one kid I went to school with
he was in the Electrical shop, and I think he set his ladders at about 65 degrees or so…

I thought about putting that qualifier in but I didn’t want to offend.

Yeah, i know, i shouldn’t have said that. To be fair, i really don’t know what angle his ladder ended up at- it probably only threw it off a couple of degrees. The standing with outstretched arms rule should work with 99.9% of people

Nice and easy way to teach people how to use them correctly. Ill tell you that dude in the pic as some disproportianate arms. Freaking huge compared to his hight and body lol. The arm is as big as his head.

Well, since this new employee uses a hammer for a squegee I suppose there may be more pressing problems than that.

Remember that ladder safety is about much more than the correct angle.
The surfaces the ladder is standing on and leans to also have an important role.

This is why we developed the app. Doesn’t matter if your arms are as long as a gorillas. This app makes sure the ladders at the right angle

App now updated

wait so did you notice the app, or create the app?
