recently this maker has gone into making cut to fit rubber replacement feet for ladders, all the UK supply stores are now stocking these. but these will prove absolutely lethal on outdoor surfaces [unless its bone dry] , i feel so strongly about rubber having fallen the full drop,its an awful experience ,i just want to warn anybody who will listen, dont use rubber outdoors !
incidentally, in the laddermat promo vid , he states hes a window cleaner . i know he isnt . [ but its possible that if you clean just 1 window you could be called that]
however he certainly is not the normal definition of a window cleaner
Scary stuff. I do like the look of those “FooTee” stoppers designed for decks, though. I’ve improvised something similar when I’ve needed to work on slippery decks before. Being able to lock right into the boards was very handy.
All the ladder morph needs is a couple of “stand-offs” for the bottoms of both extension ladders, to widen the base. They could slip into the open rungs similar to the levelok stand-offs, but they would be shaped differently to flare out the base like a standard step ladder.
Exactly. I would also add something to lock the extension mechanism on both ladders. The design of the top is great from a safety standpoint (from an aesthetics standpoint that thing is ugly, and looks too complicated with all the screws. It needs to be redesigned). Its the lack of an added wide base and some way to lock the ladders from raising or lowering that is unsafe.
I hope the Ladder Morph manufacturers see this thread.
