Let's talk some baseball

To really fix the game of baseball and have it compete with the NFL for being the most popular sport in the US, mlb needs to have a salary cap to make things even between all of the teams in baseball. Im a huge baseball fan, but a bigger NFL fan. Regardless of what NFL team you root for, that team basically has a chance of doing something every year. You can rebuild in the NFL and basically compete for a playoff run the next year or a year later.

MLB for the most part is all about who spends the most. And it sucks.

This is true and I agree with you… I don’t fallow NFL much but Baseball narrows down to who has the deepest pockets…

that would be really interesting. it would make clear which organizations really have it together, and which ones rely on throwing money at their problems. teams like oakland and minnesota, kansas city and tampa would probably really shine. teams like detroit, both la’s and the yankees would have a hard time. boston is somewhere in the middle, high payroll, but lots of moderately priced talent.

i imagine it would be like what happened in the nhl.

Game 6 about to start, I’m glad Kershaw is pitching . We must push it to game 7

What you think of that last call??

Hated to see the game end that way , but it was the right call. I kinda think he did it on purpose .
Btw. That home plate ump last night was so inconsistent last night at least he got the last call right

As a Red Sox fan, I understand that as the rule is written they got it right, but he put his hands on the guy trying to get up and was a foot inside the base, he had a free route of travel down the foul line.

What a game, the home plate ump was all over the board last night, but, it was the right call to throw your feet up like that… Listen any win against Boston is a tuff one! Well see what happens
Go cards

If you see the play again . You can see the 3 rd base ump award him the base after he feel and got up. He could have just walk to home plate. I think

Ya he could of just walked home after he tripped he was out at the plate anyway he would if been safe if he wasn’t obstructed. Once he got tripped that was it game over

The 3rd base ump did a good job of calling it right away, and the way it’s written in the rule book it was the right call. Salty should never had made the throw down there in the first place, something I learned in little league. I’m just glad they were able to get some runs off the bullpen, it lessens my fear that if the Sox don’t get ahead early the game is over.

I’m an armchair Red Sox fan and despise the Cards. But I knew right away something wasn’t kosher with the reverse hamstring curl at 3rd base. Tough way to end a game, but today is another day.

Congrats Boston fans. I’m not too bummed. Typically I would have been rooting on Boston, but this year was different. My wife has gone back to school, and her professor is a huge Cardinals fan. She told all her students that if they won the World Series, they would all get bumped up a letter grade. Since my wife already had an A, she said she wouldn’t have to take her final this semester. So, we became cardinal fans. Congrats to Boston.
