Hey. 16 year old looking for a side gig and I’ve been reading and watching a lot about window cleaning and I think I’m ready to start. But is it necessary to be licensed and insured at first? I don’t necessarily want to be a full-blown company yet, just trying to make some extra cash.
You can approach it any way you want. Liability insurance is not required and few people ask if you have it, but it’s good to have if something expensive gets damaged. Check local laws about licensing.
Work for someone part-time and see if you enjoy it. You don’t know what you don’t know, so it might be a win win before you decide to get into it. Or, just buy stuff and learn in the field. Just a heads up, everyone has made mistakes; including myself, just hope they don’t realize you took a razor to their favorite mirror or window…hahaha.
