Little giant Xtreme latter

Has anyone bought the “Little Giant Xtreme latter”?

Any feedback?

What is the ideal max extension height and max A frame height latter to buy?

Thanks.

I have a little giant and love it. It’s kinda heavy but very stable and versatile.

I would get the revolution with the metal locks. It costs less, is (8 Lbs) lighter and you don’t really need all the gadgets that come with the extreme.

I would purchase the “original” little giant that, when folded up, is 6 feet tall

I have a little giant ladder and the wagner version which is a little taller ladder. The wagner seems to be holding up just as well as the little giant and it was less expensive

I bought the 4ft Werner version ladder and it has worked out great. Bigger would be too heavy and unnecessary to me. I have used the 6ft Little Giant version and I would say they are built the same. The accessories seem kind of cool but overall might go unused.

Costco sells the 17’ Little Giant MegaLite for $180. 2 or 3 times a year, they discount it for $30-50.

I’ve had one for 2 or 3 years and use it often (I also have various Werner multi-purpose ladders, as well.$

Costco - Little Giant® MegaLite

I do use the Little Giant stabilizer with the MegaLite.

The Little Giant website has all relevant dimensions on all their models.

Little Giant Ladder

Thank you all.

Is the little giant the same as the gorilla ladder? Are they similar? We have one guy here that loves his gorilla ladder but every other employee I have hates it. Lol

Not even close. The Little Giant is the original and made in the USA with the exception of the model available every day at Costco and one other version. The Little giant is actually lighter because they make it with a better grade of aluminum. Actually I think the Gorilla Ladders are discontinued last I heard and they were made in China and sold through Home Depot.

Ok cool. Did not know that. Thanks!

does the werner version have pressed ladder rungs that are riveted in ?

I have bought a bunch, i have type 1 a, the lighter version from sears (its a legit little giant i think rated for 225 or 250 lbs) and i have the fiberglass little giant for working near power lines going into the home.

They are great. You can rebuilt parts, its fully welded, not tack welded, no rivets. I love them.

I cringe when i see laborers or home owners on cheap knock offs or god forbid 40 year old wood step ladders.

You can get the lighter duty little giant at sears with the craftsmen club discount for i think $225 bucks as of a few years ago. One of my type 1a was stolen off one of my vans, so i needed one in a pinch.

It seems just as well made, and i am not 300lbs so i really do not need a 1a.

The Werner ones are riveted but I have never had any issues with that. The rubber they use for the feet wear out faster than the actual little giant but not bad.
