Hi Guys, I am trying to come up with a logo but if you have any ideas, it would be appreciated. Also any software, websites…whatever help you can provide is great! Here is a pic of my truck with the name for reference. Thanks!
I don’t think you really need one. Your lettering looks great. That’s my opinion:)
I shoulda specified…im looking something to put on a shirt. I dont have any work shirts designed up yet, thus the reason im asking. Thanks!
Here is something I came up with one night with just the GIMP and a chinese wallpaper.
I’m a total noob at photo editing but I thought this was a step in the right direction for me. If you want to design something similar, I can tell you how I did it.
I would appreciate feedback on mine also… Thanks
Here is My shirt design:
Sorry for the quality, I just now took the picture (Im wearing it now)
Basicly your name with some sparkles (Embroydered). I can give you the font also, since that was a large part of designing it. Ive received a lot of compliments on my shirts.
EDIT: BTW. these shirts only cost me about 15$ each.
OK, here is a little bit better picture
Both of the logos are great! Simple and yet to the point. What art/computer program did you use? Im having a hard time to do what i want.
Do you want something like this or a web header for a website or business cards or fliers ? what is going to be your main use for that logo that you’re looking for ?
For the banner picture, I used GIMP. GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is free and powerful.
I got my shirts done in town. If you want something like mine, the template is already set up for my design (my old one) so there may not be a set up fee. The font is what really makes the design. I purposefully chose one that
was straight forward and easy to read yet with an air of elegance and class.
All my shirts have different colors based on complimentary colors between the negative and positive space (the foreground lettering and the background shirt color). Complimentary colors are psychologically and aesthetically appealing as well as technically easy to choose.
If you want to contact them, I can give you their contact information. They also have a website displaying all the different apparal items and they can embroider any of them.
One tip that I could recomend is that you would want to break up “Precision” from “window washing” so that it would be easier to read.
I made these in less than 5 minutes in Adobe Illustrator. I tried to use similiar colors to what you already had on your truck. You can probably do something similiar with Gimp. I just wouldn’t get crazy with including background images or weird effects as they cannot be converted into a file to be embroidered or screenprinted.
These are examples of how just using different fonts can create a really professional look for your business. You don’t always have to incorporate a “squeegee graphic” into the logo.
I like that you made “Clear Vision” and “Window Cleaning” diferent colors so that they would stand out from each other. The colors are nicely contrasted from each other. Perhaps you can change one of the phrases to a different font.
You probably know this already, but keep in mind that you will have to make a different version of just the text because you wont be able to have that graphic screenprinted, embroidered or even turned into vinyl graphics for your vehicle (…unless you have it printed onto a magnet or printed as a large decal. That would look weird though.)
If you do need help in this regard, let me know. The places that do screenprinting/embroidery or vehicle graphics may charge you a good deal extra to convert your logo. I have the capabilities to do most of that myself and may be able to save you some cash.

Thanks! Im open to suggestions. This is the first design I’ve ever made - I just tinkered one night untill 1 in the morning learning as I went so its definately a first draft. I think Im going to have to figure out how to install more fonts on GIMP.
I have the layers and everything saved so I can do keep the Text only or change the background. How do you convert the logo? On my last shirts, my embroiderer just took some sparkles out of a pre-existing design and added them to the text.

Hi!
I’m actually a student graphic designer(when I’m not out cleaning windows)
I’d love to design you a logo at a very reasonable price–certainly not anywhere near what a big time professional would cost you! Here’s a quick peak at some other design work ive done for other businesses and my own.
Best way to contact me is via email:
Good design doesn’t have to break the bank!
