Looking to add pump before the cart to boost incoming PSI on low PSI hose bibs

Hoping you guys can help me out here.

I work in the mountains, and some homes have <40 PSI coming out the hose bib.

I want to make a portable solution that I can incorporate between the hose bib and the inlet of my water cart to boost PSI to ~60.

hose bib >>> pump >>> water cart

I had a pump on my cart before but it didn’t work because when it was on it was too much, and it would actually outpump the production capacity of my filters because the input PSI into the system was low.

So, I’m hoping to boost the pressure of the garden hose into the system.

hope this make sense, thanks for the help.

Lots to choose from here…Water Fed Pumps - IPC, Tucker, RHG, and more – WindowCleaner.com

I have looked at those, but they all seem too large for what I want to do.

I’m really not looking for 100+ PSI.

I’m unsure what sort of GPM I would need to achieve a 60-80 PSI going into the filters.

Looking for the same thing

Are we talking 100psi before your filtration is what is not desired? That PSI prefiltration makes for great RO work and doesn’t equal 100PSI at the brush. When I push 100-120 PSI at the RO inlet, I get about 1-2.5GPM at the brush.

yeah, I’m talking about inlet.

there are a few places I hook up that push 100+psi and I always have to partially close my shutoff valve to dial it back. It’s just too much pure water for my needs. I could see liking it at 60 feet, but at ground level it just feels like a waste.

I wouldn’t be opposed to having the option to go that high, but if I had to choose my ideal input would be like 60-70 psi.

Are the RHG options all just transfer pumps? If so I’ll just buy a small one and see where I end up. Not sure how they justify 800 dollars for a transferpump and a little handle.

Hit Shawn up at RHG and he can help you with more detailed questions about their pumps. They are awesome with support!
