I just bought a 200 GMC Safari. I am a newbie and I am scheduled to have signs put on my vehicle tomorrow morning. I am excited about this because it will make us more professional and respected. I am having a hard time deciding on whether to get magnetic signs or vinyl lettering on my vehicle I’m leaning more so towards magnetic because it is cheaper but would like you guys insight. Also what should my sign include on it. At this time we only offer window cleaning services. Just kind of need more opinions on this matter so I can come up with a plan on what to do. I prefer the vinyl lettering, to me it just looks better, but I guess if you are using the vehicle as your main personal vehicle it would make sense to be able to remove it.
I have heard that the magnetic strip can do “funny” things to paint, maybe only certain types of paint.
As for what to put on it, I’ll just say make sure the phone number is clearly readable. What good is it if someone can’t get your number.
I have been surprised how much work we’ve got from our vehicle’s. Actually a month ago while I was driving our new rig home from getting the vinyl on we got a call which covered the cost of vinyl!
Vinal lettering is better your able to do alot more with it and it looks so much better. Magnets can only go big. If you dont take them off and clean both side regularly they will stick to your doors almost permantly. Eventually they dry and crack. Also if you have a home owners assocition usually they dont allow signage in driveway so would need to be parked in garage. Spend the time and do your reasearch.
I agree with you guys, in fact I ended up going with the vinyl lettering. I’m gonna take a picture of it in a few days and uploaded on here so you guys can see it. It makes the van look that much more professional. thanks again guys for the input.
I did the magnetic signs and out of 3 years only one call came from it. Do the lettering. If you can, do a wrap! Right now I am stuck in traffic and got 3 calls and booked 2 jobs because of my trailer.
I didn’t do the wrap or maybe I’m not familiar with what the wrap is but I got the vinyl lettering with the sign on the 2 sides of the van as well as the back of it. I’m so excited to get out and about tomorrow morning.
