Just watching it now. It’s hard to believe for a young 'un.

I had hoped that WCR would one place to get away from the talk of MJ. All I heard yesterday was “did you hear?” It’s almost as though people have forgotten that we are all going to die, what’s the big surprise?

I agree. I was listening to CNN in the office when they interviewed someone in LA about Jacko’s death. The person said, “It’s so scary. I don’t know what to do.”.
What a load of crap. Yeah, I was a lite fan of MJ back in the eighties and early nineties (aside from all the alleged stuff), but I am certainly not scarred. I told my office staff that I was not worried that the sun won’t come up tomorrow because of the loss of MJ.
I understand the hype as it is common for celebrity death (Elvis, Princess Di, John Lennon) but my world will not change one iota because of an over paid, supposed child molester, that was once a black man–now parading around as a white women, has died. Thats it and thats all.
And that sums it up…ditto
All I can say is that I respect the music that came out of the artist but not the man. That being said and I know it is in bad taste but I gotta post. memories from the past!

My feeling for him personally are not good.
That said I feel there will never be a superstar of that magnitude again. The
society we live in now is too fast for that to happen.
They were showing some live clips of him today and he truly had something
special.
I can’t think of another entertainer that has that polarizing ability.
Amazing talent from an amazing freak of a man.
That’s a little harsh Bert - ouch! Rough week or what? Anyways, I just think when a person dies it is time to remember their life in a positive light. One doesn’t have to search very far to see the impact of this guy on music. It was huge!
While I didn’t and will not cry as some did. I did feel emotion stir unlike any other in recent memory from the death of someone I had never met. Michael Jackson was an icon of epic proportions and that cannot be denied.
