Moerman BOAB mod to mimic Unger Classic BOAB functionality

You talk too much…

you get a like because of the sierra nevada, good choice

Is it strong enough to stay fixed on when navigating through shrubs, tight furniture and the like? Don’t get me wrong I love the idea, but I cringe at the thought of losing a scraper at a customer’s home. Especially if they have small children.

My biggest fear is to lose an open blade around children or anyone for that matter. Slicing myself is one thing but to open up some unsuspecting person is another thing…

field tested today, and it’s pretty strong. to give you an idea, it needs to be slid off the magnets forward, backward or downward. the bond is too strong to just pull it off horizontally. i suppose roughly brushing up against a tree might dislodge it, but i’ll need more time in the field to decide if it’s a keeper, or maybe needs two more magnets, or if it’s a fail.

Mad Props for effort! If it does pop off with a good hard hit on a bush you can always buy the bigger size of magnets and that will do the trick.

Nice idea, I think it’s gr8 to modify our tools to suit our specific needs. I’m working on modifying a boab to take 2 wagtails with pads. Keep em coming

My first year a customer called me and said her son had found a spray bottle of CLR that I left and sprayed it in his mouth. Worst feeling ever. Luckily he wasn’t even phased.

Thanks, now I won’t sleep tonight… lol Uggh, that must have sucked!

How about getting a belt clip pouch from lowes or homedepot? Slid it right on the edge and you’re good to go. I don’t use my razor slot for razors because they seemed to rust out in about 30 seconds and then I accidentally found that belt clips fit in there perfectly.

HD has since discontinued this pouch except for online only, but lowes has a ton of them that I might try out.

I like that idea Jared.

PS that pic should go into this thread… http://windowcleaner.com/vBulletin/newbie-corner/27754-work-belt-setup-newbies.html

It’s in there somewhere…
