Was browsing for poles and noticed that the moerman poles were signicantly cheaper than the unger I’ve previously been using(at least for the sizes I was looking for)… Anybody have any experience with them? Are they of similar quality?

I like them better than the Unger. At least for the little 10’ pole that I’ve got.

Good to know. I’m mostly interested in shorter collapsed lengths. The four foot two section and sixteen foot four section. Also do they lock like unger by twisting the collar, or like ettore by twisting the pole?
They lock with a twist collar. If you hold both poles side by side you’ll feel the Unger’s plastic components are slightly higher quality.
Which brand of tools are you using?

I have an excelerator, but I generally use unger tools. I don’t normally lock them on, I just use compression.

Ok. I was going to say the moerman pole has a different location for its retention button. Unger tools stay on just fine with compression.
