Moerman Swivel Handle

https://shopwindowcleaner.com/moerman-swivel-zero-degree-handle.html

I have this moerman handle and the button that allows you to go between 40 and 0 degrees is stuck so it won’t lock in either position. Anyone ever see that on their handle? It’s all plastic, so my guess is there is nothing to replace, but before I just epoxy it in the 40 degree position permanently, I thought I’d ask if anyone here has a solution. I have already tried banging, prying, and cussing it loose, to no avail.

Thanks!

Try using a hammer, beat that bad boy into position! jking

I don’t own one…Sorry cant really help!

I’ve been about as rough as I can be with it without ruining it! Rarely used it in 0 degree mode anyway, but it was handy to have when needed. Time to glue that sucker at 40 and be done with it.

The few times I used it at zero I was working with long extensions but I won’t need to do that once the Unger Stingray I ordered gets here.

Try using WD-40 spray a little under that joint of the button.
Let it penetrant for a bit.
Wiggle a bit see if that loosens it.

Used to be a problem for me until I learned to squeeze it from both sides. Problem solved. Also I wouldn’t be in to big of a hurry to glue it in place. With some thinking outside of the box, you could actually use zero degree quite often. I would say that I do so every week; residential and commercial.

just buys a new one its what, $14? thats like 5 squeegee rubbers

This thing is permanently a 40 degree handle now. Could not get the jammed button unstuck. No big deal…I can get another one if I miss the 0 degree feature. Thanks for the ideas.

If you miss the 0 degree, get the Unger 0 degree handle.

I’ve had my eye on that 0 Degree SwivelLoc handle. Looks like a great tool.

I use that tool a lot, it comes in real handy.

The older one with the rims on the handle was way better than that new one they have

I know Dan, Ive been searching since the first week of June this year for a few old handles.

Here is the link…

The newer one is good though, i just like the old one better.

That thing almost looks like a wagtail on a zero degree handle.

I like how close the pivot point is to the channel.

Try soaking the handle in a bucket over night. Had one of mine get funky and that fixed it. They’re kind of a flimsy design but I love how it feels at the 40 degree on the glass.

Too late for that handle now…it is fixed at 40 degrees for eternity.
