I had the idea to out nano ultra on the inside of a shower door to seal it and keep hard water off it and to keep it clean. Today was the first day Ive used it just on my own patio slider, the water sheets but stays on the treated area and leaves white lines where the edges are.
Has anyone used nano ultra in this application?
Thanks for any replys
I have found that shower doors are not a good application for Nano in hard water areas (tds @ 400). I have done side by side comparisons with Invisible Shield in multiple shower enclosures with new glass. In both instances I had to go back , re-polish, and re seal. The stain remover works good. But I wont use the sealer, clients did not like the results. Both clients use squeegee’s in their showers too.
I’m going to use it on my work van windshield as a sort of rolling demo.
Is this seat taken. Hey Bud, me again. Is auto glass the same as home window glass chemicaly? Why dont we see heavy mineral deposits on cars? They never see sprinkler water maybe? What if a car sat under sprinkler water everyday, would you see deposits?
Be careful what you wish for Tony, you just might get it. I be back.
Good to see you back Kevin!
I think with vehicles we don’t let it get to that point since we are in them driving around every day or so.
Yes they would. I’ve seen old cars that have sat on the side of a house or somewhere similar where the sprinker hits them, and the windows are a horrible mess. They look like milky shower doors.
Like Nate said, yes they would. Around here we see mineral deposits on car windows all the time. I don’t really like to restore automobile glass but when I do I charge $10 per pane, more for the windshield. Be carefull with the windshield though, where the wipers run the glass may actually be scratched and when you remove mineral deposits, the scratches become very visible. For that reason, I usually will not clean the windshield. When the customer insist I’ll use bioclean and work around the area where the wipers work.
According to the bottle, you aren’t supposed to use it on auto glass
Thanks for the heads up Larry. I guess I didn’t notice that.
It is not good for Auto gless because you want beading or hydrophobic. Sheeting in the rain makes it very hard to see through.
