Need help estimating

I have never priced a job this big. Its a local church that sits right on the road…very dirty. THere is just so much surface area. The wall to the left of the high tower part is not accessbile with a man lift due to the wire and wheelchair ramp. So I may have to tell the guy I can only do to a certain hieght…take a llok.

Ladder work would work just fine IMO

I dont get it. You said surface area. Are you talking about pressure washing or window cleaning? Why would you need a lift? There are hardly any windows on that building. 2 or 3 hundred bro, maybe 4. Since its a church, go for a grand, they got alot of cash…well, maybe not after all the lawsuits so nevermind.

A ladder would get most of it except the real high areas near the peaks and tower.

No I am not asking bout the windows…i did post this in the powerwashing thread didnt I

6-8 gpm PW will do the job with ease. what type of exterior?

Looks pretty easy IMO. If you’re not skooled in soft washing or down streaming, you might want to read older posts or ask Micah from We Wash Windows

Dont let the church ask for a donation of your time or discounts. Oldest trick in the book. They have money.

$1167…

2-2.5 hours max, No ladder except for one area that would be a hard angle to reach but can be accessed from the lower roof.

Do you say no ladder because the pressure washer will deliver enough water at enough force to get that high?

It is actually all vynil siding, some of it is in the cedar shake style texture.

Thanks for all your replies! It really helps me to consider your thoughts and my thinking.

I will do the soft wash research, thanks for the hint!
I just bought a Boss 3000psi with 2.8 GPM, honda engine with a triplex plunger, ceramic piston material… $375 =) (nearly new, still warranty)

I have a 425 gallon tank, but im afraid my trailer wont pull that much…its only a 1 ton 4X8 utility trailer.

Anyway they have a hose hook up there.

Yes… However, not that washer. We use 8 gpm machines. We never use more than 100 psi.

well, my PW came the other day…it was advertised as 2.8 gpm and the sticker on it says 2.3 gpm…
I emailed them and told them and the replied that it has the wrong sticker on it…grrrrr!!! SO I am hoping to test it somehow.

If in fact it is less, culd I just switch out the pump and have it a higher gpm with the same engine?

Do your homework “twice” and purchase “once” my friend. You really need at least 4gpm. The nozzel Micah uses in the video mentioned before is great. (Downstreaming Video2)He’s using a 4gpm 4000psi machine if I remember correctly. That nozzel he uses makes all the difference. And finally, I agree with the $1100-$1200 bid with no solicited “donations” becaues they “do” have the money.

Where can I find the nozzle that was used in the Down Streaming 2 video?
