I have a new request for a quote for window cleaning exterior and pressure washing the building. I have experience in doing both but I never seem to quote commercial right. Can anyone say what they would charge/how they quote? Will be using a wfp system
cleaning these roof areas as well? I can’t tell if the left circled area is just a design or glass.
Edit, I misread. Exterior only should be straightforward. Shoot for $150+ an hour.
probably not. Why pass? This is really doable…
Quite in the range of 90-100/hr. Easy peasey
that feels very little for commercial work
I thought you said you haven’t seemed to quote commercial right?
There’s a lot of companies that would be totally happy with that rate. We would
thats right… as in its always under quoted. Jobs we would quote about 5000-8000$ people quote 30k and get them (of course not all of them)
Thanks just saw your edit. Makes sense… we average on residential around that much
Wait, so you are losing bids to companies bidding 6x your price? How many times has this happened to you?
Where the heck are you located in?
Here I can’t even land commercial estimating at $50-$75 pmh lol
I never said I’m losing bids. I always land them but they’re always more trouble than they’re worth. Meanwhile my ‘competition’ (we know eachother well) are taking on the same kind of jobs and making crazy money
Canada
So you’re landing all your bids, you price high, you know your competitor’s prices, and you’ve only lost the bids when your competitors price much higher. Sounds like you have all the answers.
I’m curious. How much would you say you average per hour for each storefront, commercial, and residential in Canada?
I’d say here in NJ I’m at $50-$75 for storefront / commercial and $100+ for residential
Good question.
Honestly it really varies… I stopped doing storefronts so I can’t really say anything about that. Residential and commercial isn’t really a per hour basis (its per job). I think though it comes down to about 150/hr.
I’ll say that probably everyone charges their own prices here. If you put effort into your image (truck, nice website, uniforms, someone answering the phone etc…) then people are generally okay how much you charge because they see the value. Someone who doesn’t have these things may not get away with charging that much.
Commercial - like I said - Im pretty bad at getting it right. We land all our bids at about 120-150 per hr per man. My friendly competition gets away with charging more for similar so hence why I’m on here asking for a second opinion
edit: I’ll say some places in Canada have very little competition so they can afford to bump the price. Other places are completely saturated and tend to price low and rely on quantity not quality customers.
