What do you guys think of this?
I emailed this guy the other day to see what the deal is. It looks awesome!
I am so excited for this. Half of my back problems stem from lugging water around in buckets, and up til now Ive never been able to comfortably do a BOAB.
This shows real promise.
I remember many years ago seeing a unique japanese BOAB that had components of this idea.
I hope this gets enough support to have a full production run.

It seems a little bit too much like a novelty tool as opposed to a professional one. It doesn’t eliminate the need for a belt though because you would still need miscellaneous tools and a place for your towels. Many times I can get around carrying a bucket by simply using the bottle on a belt method on one hip and a BOAB on the other.

This seems great for a homeowner or maybe even a maid service that offers window cleaning.
Practical for the novice cleaner, great slogan to sell the product to anyone looking to “go green” and “save water”
I barely use a bucket of water a day, I also use a bottle on a belt system (bottle stuffed in a pouch) and my bucket is more for exterior work when I need that extra wet window here and there. I do almost all exterior work with a WFP now, first and second floor, so my bottle works just fine for interior work.
I’m probably just being a stubborn window cleaner set in his ways that work, but I am interested in hearing how this performs and what people think of it though who use it.

It looks like it works for those doing high rise, but yeah, mephany one of the things you missed is a lot of us use water bottles. Use an old soap bottle and it prevents you from having to drag a bucket around. My bucket stays in the truck unless I have a big house or commercial account but even then a couple fills on the bottle and I can pretty much knock it out.
I tried the soap bottle thing a couple years ago, but I couldn’t make it work for me. Its hard to change old habits, so maybe i didn’t give it enough of a chance. Im pretty OCD about not dripping in people’s houses, and I tend to drip without a bucket! BOABs have never worked too well for me because I have hips (well, thats my assumption at least).
I’m different from most window cleaners too in that for the past 15 years I have always used double sided buckets. One wet, and one dry side. keeps my tools dry, and the double bucket’s not as big as the square window cleaning buckets.
I’m open to trying new things though, and i’ll give the soap bottle a shot again. How do you make it work for you?
… I am in the process of trying out the bottle. I bought an Unger bottle pouch for my belti and still carry the boab for mop and squeegee. I spray with the bottle, then mop and squeegee. Still means carrying stuff but pretty much eliminates dripping. The mop doesn’t get drippy wet so I guess the boab could be eliminated. I also switched over to a smaller Ettore rectangular bucket for when I do use one, which is some interiors and all exteriors.
You could carry a bottle in your two sided bucket and it would be lighter.

Starting Friday I’m also trying out the bottle method as well as comparing boab’s. As for buckets I strongly dislike the square window cleaning buckets, I find them to be off balance and to slosh more with how quick I move. I prefer to use a normal round 5 gallon bucket with about 4 gallons of water in it.

I used to use the Unger bottle holder pouch, now I just use the large Unger two pocket pouch and put my bottle (I use an empty Ecover bottle) with water and solution. I can do the entire interior of a home with a bottle.
I’m gonna have to take a picture of my revised belt set up and get it on the belt set up thread.

We have a blue 2 compartment cleaning tote (buy any hardware or wallyworld) that one side holds 5 ecover (old style) 4 filled with my solution, then one bottle is filled with my smokeing solution . (Have a few smokeing bars)
I use it to do a small storefront.
I think the square buckets are great. Fit in the vehicle real well. I use the ettore scraper pouch to carry the bottle when needed.
I never bring a bucket indoors any more

Mostly for the same reasons, I never bring a bucket in a house either. The deal-breaker was about 10 years ago when an employee who refused to wear a boab slipped on a step while carrying his bucket through a house. Had a yard sale on expensive wooden flooring and water went under an expensive and VERY heavy entertainment system. Thankfully I didn’t lose the customer, just was asked to never let him work INSIDE her house again.
This is he way I work when doing route. When doing resi I just take off the thing that my squeegge is in, an put a boab there.

This is the most practical belt for route stops, I have a similar set up myself.

Wow Dan that’s crazy. Was the entertainment system ruined ???

Thankfully no. We got on that very quickly!
so you are going to swab the windows with the same dirty mop all day? The purpose of my bucket of water is to wash/clean the mop out so I am using a clean mop on the window. I fill my bucket just enough to cover the mop and change it frequently and I put a door mat or towel under it when I set it down. That device would not make my work easier
Im with you on the bucket, but The whole point of the device is that it does clean the mop. You use limited amounts of water but it has a jet sprayer inside. did you watch the video?
This is the future. It may not be perfect, but it is definitely a more workable solution than a plain BOAB in a house. I see great potential in this thing, and I will be first to order when it comes out.
Ya I’m with you I have always used a round bucket !
. Thai is my route bucket.
