I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Adam Thornton and I have recently started Adam's Window Cleaning located in South Carolina. I enjoy reading the forums and surfing WCR. I look foward to sharing many ideas and learning from the best!
Adam, you’re just a little over an hour away from me. Drive on over any time for some training if you’d like. You’ve got my contact info so you can email or call any time.
I am in the mid state. Columbia, lexington, Irmo, Blythwood area. I just started, so I have been practicing and getting everything in line for the business. WCR has definately helped me alot in getting started.
Columbia and the surrounding area is nice. Probably one of the fastest growing area’s in the south east. It’s one of the few cities that has so many interstates going through them. There’s 77, 26, 20, and 95 isn’t far by - and I may have missed one. It’s not far from Atlanta, and not far from Charlotte either.
Cola is only 2 hours away from the ocean, and 2 hours from the mountains, there’s a lot to do for fun in the area.
Also the general area of North Carolina & South Carolina is a huge part of the movie industry. I remember David Letterman telling his audience that L.A. & NY City were 1st & 2nd in movie making and that the area of NC & SC is 3rd.
Forest Gump, Nell, The Big Chill, Sleeping With The Enemy, and many more movies have been filmed in the area. Unfortunately “Deliverence” was filmed just across the state line in Georgia. I probably shouldn’t have mentioned that one though. LOL!
The mountains, the beaches, and so many places in between are just beautiful. Folks are moving here from all over the country. Cost of living is much easier on the pocketbook around here and the climate is nice. A 500,000.00 house here would cost millions in a place like San Diego and many other high cost cities or areas.
Many of my high end customers are from other parts of the country but have retired here, living in gated communities out on the lake. Adam will have a great market out by Lake Murray outside of Columbia, as well as in the city itself.
