I watched several videos on youtube of the bald guy (steve I think) which brought me here.
My name is Mitch and I am 23 years old with several years of professional window cleaning training. My father was my main mentor, an ex high rise and ladder man. His step father taught him and he taught me over 25 years experience in less than a decade. When he stacked the aluminum sectional ladders it was like a circus act. This is one skill I never got the chance to master. He started a business here in Florida over 17 years ago which became very successful and I am trying to rekindle that fire. Sadly my father passed away about a year ago; my best friend and a great dad.
I always said; even once to him, I don’t want to take over the business (meaning I want more for my life). I was young and didn’t understand a lot of things and just saw the “bad”. Don’t get me wrong, I like cleaning windows, especially at luxury homes but owning a business is seemed like ALOT of responsibility. As I grew “older” and some time passed after my fathers passing I realized he had a great business and very profitable. I still want to explore more profitable careers as I have gone to school and completed a Heavy Duty Truck and Bus course at a technical college. Once I get a job in the diesel industry window cleaning will go on the back burner (weekend gig)
I will probably start another post about this stuff but I have difficulties bidding jobs and I know I should talk to a tax pro but I don’t understand taxes. What do I need to know for income taxes, all tips are appreciated.
