I’m 100% residential and I’ve got a customer who does all of the cleaning for a large commercial property management company. He’s decided to sub out all of the window cleaning to me. I need to get him a price per pane. It’s over a hundred store fronts, like strip malls, just exterior cleans. Most are ground level, some have 2nd story windows. We’ve got a great relationship and he’s told me I’ve got the job, he’s not getting any other bids, so I don’t have to win out a bidding with rock bottom pricing, just a price that seems fair to him and maximizes profits for me. What should I tell him? Also how should my price change depending on the frequency they get cleaned? Like I said I’m great with pricing residential but haven’t got a clue what I’m doing with store fronts and the size of the account won’t let me test out different pricing to see what equates to the best hourly rate. Thanks
Hey man. Im not a Expert in window cleaning bids. But iv acquired 6 accounts in 2 days. I count each window and guesstimate how long itll take me. I charge about 15-20 for about 3-4 windows and 2-4 doors. thats just me. I want to keep my prices down so i get work, but im pretty much kicking my own ass for bidding so low. end of the day Im not making much. average about 20-25 an hour. Best of luck to you.
Typically $1/pane, unless it’s a gigantic window then $2/$3 per pane.
Look at how much work is close together and decide how long it will take then price according to what you want to make per hour.
