New to WCR

Hi folks, My name is Jim aka “THEGLASSMACHINE”. First off, I love the site. I find it both informative and very well put together.Kudos Chris.
I have been a professional window cleaner for about thirty years now. (actually started with wet brushes instead of scrubbers) I now reside in Southaven MS which is just a few miles south of Memphis. Until recently I have found the profession to be sufficient if not lucrative. But, recently it has taken a downturn that has me considering a different field of employment. I just lost my largest account, which was about 80% of my income, due to the shrinking economy. I blame Obamanomics, but, it may just be the “too many eggs in one basket” theory at play. Whatever the reason, I am desperate for work right now. If any of you are in this area and can use some help please contact me at (901) 328-8825. I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed in the quality of my work as I am quite possibly the best window cleaner in the world.

Hey GLASSMACHINE,

Welcome to the site. I’m sorry to hear about your recent decline in business. Hopefully you will pick up a few useful tidbits here.
Best of luck!

Welcome Jim! Hope things turn around for you. Do you use a wfp system? Could be a way to go after some large commercial or residential that other wcers in your area don’t want or can’t do.

My brother in law is from Southhaven! Sorry to hear about the hard times. We are all feeling it, but yours is an extreme case. I won’t feel sorry for myself from now on. If I hear of anyone needing help, I’ll tell them to look you up on this site. Good Luck!

If I was a homeowner who was looking for a window cleaner, and he called himself “The Glass Machine,” I would drop the phonebook and book the guy asap! That takes a good sense of humor…

Bushnomics is what you meant to say rite?

THE GLASS MACHINE
"because glass looks it’s best when you can’t see it"

thanks folks.

Hi GlassMachine, welcome…
I think you hit the nail…“too many eggs” - could be the change you were looking for! I don’t think I could do the same gig 80% of the time.
