Just reading up on that… Thats pretty cool

Very cool i can see these selling very well!

How does it deal with really dirty mops? I usually end up with a bunch of dirt on the bottom of my bucket from washing out my mop.

JaredA1 I think the issue you mention was the reason he developed it!

That would be great for homes.

when Chris gets one in stock I’ll buy two

saw it on facebook this morning. i want it.

i could see customers being really wow’ed- imagine sending two or three techs into a home, each with one of these babies. “techi-est window cleaning company”

Another gimmick. Would never work for dirty beach homes here in Cali

why not?

Looks cumbersome - cool idea but it would drastically slow me down

I’d like to see video of it. Maybe not as slow as seems, but I am thinking it would slow me down. I’ve been using a bottle as a dispenser, and that has worked really well. The mop does get pretty dirty though, so if this thing works (with a Wagtail!) I would be open to it for sure.

looks intresting

on a side note i believe a round bucket with sloping sides [sloping inwards] would be ideal for this trade , it would then be very hard to spill water out

I would be interested in seeing it working in the field, any video available?

Humm, I’m not sure it would slow anybody down. But I’m only looking at the picture, I haven’t seen it in action yet. The concept is sound in that you’re carrying your bucket around, you can flush your mop, and it separates the dirty water (I’m not sure how it does that).

However, a couple of negatives.

One thing that stands out to me as a huge negative is that the squeegee is not enclosed. Squeegee’s drip a LOT of water so unless you’re wiping it dry when you’re in a high end home, I’m not sure how you wouldn’t just drip all over the place. It might work great on a chair or on route, but for residential, I’d see myself going back to the boab or rigging up a drip catcher.

But then again, what do I know? Some people don’t use side buckets…

A second thing is that you’d need another belt to keep it from flopping around everywhere. I can maneuver around a house with my boab and towel bag, it would be more difficult with such a big unit on my hip. But you could just carry it from window to window. I’d also have to train myself not to bend over and spill out 6.5 liters of water (I’m not sure what that is in american units, but it sounds like a lot).

A third thing is how difficult is it to clean out. I just toss my bucket now on to some bushes and I’m good to go. I don’t want to have to take apart pistons and various other things to keep it from smelling like a swamp everyday. I have to clean out my boab regularly or it starts to have a distinct stank to it.

A fourth thing is where do I get fairy fluid? That sounds really hard to get since the unicorns are pretty much extinct in North America. I mean, we’re just down to our last few cases of unicorn jerky and after that…

Unicorn jerky…So YOU’RE the one who took em all out!
