We started the process this month of switching our trucks from smaller trucks (Rangers, Colorados) to full size trucks. Purchased a Silverado extended cab 2 weeks ago. I am rethinking the content we display on our vehicles. Our current trucks have logos on doors and website, phone number, and services down on the sides and tailgates. Thinking of going with a cleaner look. Just logo on doors and then contact info an services on the tail gate. Our truck get us work, but most people see our logo and then google/facebook us. I dont think our customers are writing down our phone number. Maybe a few are. We have been a staple in our market for over 12 years and are always trying to make a good impression. Thoughts?
I’ve gotten a lot more calls off of yardsigns with no contact info, vs. ones with. Just an observation.
I’m looking at a slight redesign for my truck, as well. Currently, I have just the website listed, no phone number. The URL is going to get the axe in favor of a little more whitespace and a slightly wordier logo.
(Currently:
LOGO
infinity cleaning
Planning on:
INFINITY
LOGO
Maintenance Services, Inc.)
I just got a new truck too , an going to be putting some graphics on it.
Was thinking a full wrap , but may swing the other way an letter it up. I’ll be watching what you do. Keep us posted !!
Alex, has this always been your company’s name or have you added additional services and changed the name?
First off, sorry @Kyle, for hijacking your thread
…So, long story…
I started out as “Alex Lacey Pro Window Cleaning” in 2006.
Came up with Infinity Window Cleaning in 2010
Dropped “window” from the name once I realized I wanted to pursue some other services like gutter cleaning and power washing.
Late 2018 we had to come up with a name other than Infinity Cleaning when we incorporated last year… cuz some schmuck had already taken ‘Infinity Cleaning’ (yeah, I did. State didn’t care the name already belonged to us. Corporate name had to be unique. Could’ve worked around the issue by dissolving our DBA and refiling for our preferred corporate name, but seemed like too much trouble at the time, since we could still operate under the DBA)
Now we’re contemplating sort of ‘abandoning’ the DBA in favor of the corporate name. Hoping to attract/impress larger accounts with that “Inc.” on the end of it.
All that said, I’ve gotten some pretty interesting feedback on PWR as well as a private FB group I’m in. My current logo and new concept both have a ton of flaws from a graphic design perspective…
And the name and logo could be much better tailored to attract power washing/ soft washing jobs. It might actually be time to finally drop the squeegee from our branding…
Oh, and it might also be nice to establish a little more brand separation from these guys, by dropping the “cleaning” from our name:
Here is what a few of our work vehicles currently look like…
Here is the proof for the new vehicle:
Now I know someone out there is going to scream “That looks horrible! You need to spend 2k per vehicle and get them wrapped!”…
First off, I dont go for flashy, I like to keep things simple and direct extra effort and resources in driving sales… Whats on your truck doesnt drive sales regularly. Should you get your truck lettered out, yes. Should you spend several months worth of a decent marketing budget getting 3 or 4 trucks wrapped… no.
We are really excited to get this Silverado on the road next week. I think I may start getting fullsize trucks going forward.
You won’t hear that from me
Proof looks good. The light blue “Window” might be just a tiny bit harder to read against the gray paint. But that could also just be the photo making it look a little washed out.
Edit: I see you’ve got other gray trucks, so I’m sure the color combo must be working for you. Congrats on the new truck!
Beautiful new truck! I’m currently in a 2013 Silverado extended cab 1500 and love everything about it.
@ProWindowCleaning We just got it back from the fab shop with the new ladder rack on it. It gets lettered this friday and on the road Monday.
Looks great Alex. Simple is better. I see trucks all the time with some many words and graphics on them. Then you have no idea what they do after you try to read the first paragraph when they drive by. Lol
I can’t stand that. We’ll actually be dropping the website from the truck when we get it re-lettered with the new logo. We already don’t have a phone number listed. So people will just have to google us
I like that better, personally.
@ChrisTripleC, help me out
Infinity
And Beyond
well good, you’re growing and expanding in the aftermath of all the shutdown stuff!
