[SIZE=“5”]
[SIZE=“3”]This is the way I have being using the wagtail
Please note the handle .
I have stuck CAR VELOUR CARPET around the handle this is why I can use the wagtail like this.
However you could put it on your squeegee handle to make it easier to use and hold the hand as well.

Good video, I think I’m going to have to retry the wagtail…Using it in your finger seem to work really well.Do you always work that fast when your swiveling it.
Keep the videos coming…
When you go to You Tube, copy from the upper bar and not the share bar 1 Also be sure to on your post to use the video insert you see in the tool bar from where your writing and paste the you tube copy there !
I agree it is very good on a pole.
But when it comes to using without the pole it is good also.
However when I started using the wagtail for me the handle was a bit too small.
So I put velour carpet around the handle and found it was easier to use comfortable in the hand.
At the same time worked out a different way of using it.
I have been using the wagtail right from when I started nearly ten years ago.
I just modified it to suite.
i was just wondering, what is the cleaning solution of choice for you Aussies? Especially those of you that use wagtails. I know for myself I love the wagtail but my solution’s gotta have a decent amount of slip.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of soaping up separately from using the squeegee? Which wagtail tool is better
for washing a hot tinted window in the sun?
the soap and squeegee at the same time method is best for regularly maintained windows and especially useful for interiors which usually aren’t as bad/soiled as exteriors. For all else I recommend seperate scrub and squeegee.

Either the wagtail whirlwind or the new Swoop. I haven’t tried the Swoop yet but from what I can see it is like a better version of the whirlwind in that it presses the scrub pad against the glass under the squeegee blade as you work. Until the Swoop was released, the Whirlwind was promoted as the best ‘wash and squeegee at the same time’ tool. Can’t wait to try one and see the difference. ohhh Willie…
Thank you. I would like to see to see your review of the Whirlwind. The Wagtail tools have become confusing
with all of the different models out. The old models are still being sold. There must be differences between them.
I actually haven’t done a review yet for the whirlwind, I’ll have to put that on my list.
There are alot of subtle differences between them and I certainly understand your confusion. It makes the benefits of the tool questionable when there are so many different models.
Here is my run down of the different models. (from what I can tell as I don’t have every model)
The Flipper - basically is a wide channel squeegee with a thin scrub pad held on with plastic clips. You flip the pad up to scrub then let the pad drop to do the squeegeeing.
The Orbital - the squeegee like above without any scrub pad.
The Slim line - same handle but uses standard profile squeegee channels.
The Whirlwind - a slim line squeegee with plastic clip that have velcro and attached scrub pad that is thicker than a flipper pad. Holds more water than the flipper and when pad is dropped down, the pad touches the glass which helps lubricate the glass as you squeegee.
The Swoop - has an additional attachment to press scrub pad to the glass and to keep the pad out of the way as you close out at the bottom of the window.
If any of these descriptions aren’t 100% accurate, someone please add/correct to this.
It seems to me that the advantage of a tool like the flipper is that it is lighter in weight.
The heavier the tool is, the less likely I am going to want to use it.
There is a trade off between the advantage of holding more water and the weight of the tool.
