New Web-Site

Finally, after much waiting. We launched our new web-site. Keep in mind we have not completed it yet. We still need to put up our gallery. It is just getting it out to the public for now. Any thoughts or crtisism is welcome. Thanks
Doug

From one Doug to another I think it LOOKS good. It could use some more content (but I understand you said it’s not complete yet)

From an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) standpoint here are a few things you can do…

 1. Make a separate location pages for each service and use keywords in the name like
http://www.hadawaymaintenance.com/Kalamazoo-Window-cleaning

etc, on down the list…

 1. The flash buttons LOOK nice, but they won’t help Google determine what your site is about, you don’t necessarily need to ditch them, but I would include the some links using text as well (Google uses these types of links to determine what your site is about)

Here’s an example in your content use stuff like this : Hadaway maintenance is your source for window cleaning in Kalamazoo (where the link takes you to your K-Zoo window cleaning page.)

Doug

Aesthetically the site is top notch. Its in the top 95% of window cleaners websites I have seen. As the other Doug mentioned, you have a bit of back end SEO work to do, but its all minor stuff that can easily adjusted.

Looks awesome!!

Looks good Doug. Seo is still greek to me!

You are not alone, We’ll have an SEO glossary up pretty soon =)

at first glance it looks great…
navigation and content is good.

overal I like it a lot!

Awesome, hope that clears it up. I’m about to hire this out.

I like it a lot also. I very much like the landing page graphic with the peeps doing all the services. I like the mouse over balloons too

It took 100 years to load both times I looked at it today

You need a separate area for residential window cleaning. I would not even guess you did it on the landing page and I would leave. You need something to say “Hi, we do houses too!”

Also I might put some bullets in the descriptions and break up that big block copy a little.

]We service High rise to one story office buildings

I don’t know, you get the idea.

Very impressive so far

Looks great to me. I like the graphics. Now I really don’t want to show off my new site. good thing I can’t figure out the domain settings lol

You should feel proud, that’s not an easy thing to get Paul to say

It looks great. I wish mine looked that good. It loaded really fast for me. Its not your website loading slow, its there computer or connection. One a scale of 1-10 i, I would giveit a 10. Very impressive.

Thank you all for the reply’s. I am totally illiterate of web-site terms, so I will pass the info on to those in the know. The critique will definately help.
Thanks again
Doug:)

Doug, your site is redonkulous. And by that I mean that it looks absolutely beautiful.

That interactive navigation on the first page is killer. The aesthetics are really awesome as well. Well done.

I’m looking to get away from the DIY website and you have definately raised the bar.

DIY website ???

Thanks for the kind words, and what is DIY?

Oh…Do it yourself?

I got it.

Amazing site - looks like a huge company.

Can I ask what solution you use for window cleaning being a green seal certified company?

Ummmm…Dawn dish soap. Actually it varies. Some guys do use Dawn dish soap, some use Unger Soap, someuse whatever they chose to use. It is their preference. I just tell them the windows need to look good. As far as Green seal certified it is for chemicals used in our janitorial division. We also own a company called Hadco Supply that sells Grean Seal cleaning products and other supplies. Thanks for the compliment.
Doug

I didn’t think Dawn was green?

It’s blue…

But hey… it won’t kill a baby elephant so I guess it’s green.

Great site Doug I think I’ll put a link to it on mine!

Sometimes it is red with scrubbing bubbles.
