A ton of gutter calls over the last couple weeks… which is strange for June.
Gutter cleaning slowed down. Still waiting for Fall rush. Leaves aren’t falling yet. We had a lot of rain this spring and thats what stemmed all of the gutter cleaning jobs. Went from lots of rain to lots of dry, arid, steaming hot drought days, like most all of us in the midwest.
Fall is here and we have been slow with guttter cleaning calls. Here in North Florida, it should start picking up next month or so.
Of course the houses here are the BIGGEST! This is America, known for thinking it’s the BIGGEST and BEST. On world maps here, The U.S. is actually bigger than Russia. Who made the BIG MAC, and the phrase “Super-size”? Americans. Who always has to race to build the BIGGEST skyscraper as soon as their BIGGEST is surpassed by another country? Americans.
Who just made the BIGGEST squeegee in the world? Americans, specifically Chris and Alex of WCR.
Personally though, I’ve only done a few homes that I needed more than one day to do with 3 guys on the job. I’m hoping to land a few more though, including this 13,320 sq. ft. mansion that has a built-in movie theatre, a garage show room that has a turntable that holds 15 cars, separate guest quarters, and an English pub, among other cool features. I’m still washing homes, I love it. Thats where my $ is. Gutter calls are comming in slowly but surely.
I’ve been getting a lot of gutter cleaning calls lately. We get tons of junk in our gutters in Western Washington. Lots of pine needles which fall year round. Pine needles aren’t as mucky as the deciduous leaves though which is nice. I even haul out some pretty big chunks of moss… not even dead moss but fully alive gutter moss. It’s practically a rainforest where I live.
What’s weird is I often find little surprises in the gutter and on roofs: small bones (I assume dropped by eagles), spent fireworks, a staple gun, Christmas light bulbs, gutter clips etc.
Trees still have leaves here.
I have just put out a flier that features gutter cleaning along with windows. This is the first time I have advertised gutter cleaning. I have it lettered on my truck and in my website, but with the flier, I have started to get quite a few calls for gutters. I’m hoping it will increase when the leaves really start falling around here.
