Payment options

Hey everyone. I am starting to get more commercial accounts and was wondering what you guys do for invoices. Do most companies pay cash, check, or online payment. What type of online payment do you use? What type of invoice do you use? Thanks

@luke3636 turned me onto JOIST simple easy and best yet Free.

As for payments I use Square but I’m always looking for a less % all the time.

Most commercial accounts pay with checks after net 30. Storefronts are mostly cash in my experience.

I use Freshbooks for my invoicing but will probably switch over to “The Customer Factor” soon as it is highly recommended here. My commercial accounts pay with check, with the exception of one bank that pays via ACH. Being charged almost 3% for card transactions is an expense I have been able to avoid so far.

I like depositing checks in person. Getting lots of visibility with the bank staff and their customers pays off.

Most commercial accounts I have pay via bank transfers
I use https://www.waveapps.com/ for my invoicing its also free

I use aynax. It’s about I think I’m paying$8.00 a month. It has time sheets unlimited invoices, proposals, tax calculations, estimates, gas, toll, etc. Combined with sign easy app. And an e printer man. Marvelous, simply marvelous. I do everything from my phone and even scan my receipts from the e printer right into the aynax app andi it adds it all up and calculates everything.

Thanks for sharing the link to what you use.

I use swipe. It cost me 2.5%+ $.30 per transaction. I charge an extra 3% when people pay by credit card. It still cost me a little but that 3% helps soak up most of the loss.

I must be misunderstanding something. If you get charged 2 1/2% plus $.30 and you charge 3% it sounds to me like you’re making a tiny profit each time instead of actually costing you something

In my state it is illegal to do that

I never charge extra for credit cards. Check your terms and conditions you agreed to; most will say that you can’t surcharge to cover the fees.
